Walking in DRESDEN / Germany - Central Station to Old Town and back - 4K 60fps (UHD)
A quick walk from the train station to the old town of Dresden as I had an hour between busses. On this winter Sunday evening the inner city of Dresden is fairly quiet with the shops closed. A few tourists check out the beautiful Old Town of Dresden which is worth visiting any time of the year.
We start at the Dresden Main Station and walk along the Prager Straße towards Old Town. There we check out the Frauenkirche, see the Elbe river, Semperoper and Zwinger before heading back to Dresden Hauptbahnhof (main station).
No vlog, no intrusive faces or talking - just walking for about an hour enjoying the Elbflorenz.

Dresden Hauptbahnhof Part 2 Dresden Germany central train station Dresden Part 2

Dresden Neustadt Railway Station, Dresden, Saxony, Germany - 11th December, 2014
Dresden-Neustadt station is the second largest railway station in Dresden, as well as one of the largest stations in Saxony. The station consists of 8 tracks, along with two additional tracks for crossing freight trains. The roof of the train shed covers the central section of all passenger platforms. To read more about Dresden Neustadt, click here: .
The station sees predominantly passenger traffic, which is either local S-Bahn, regional, InterCity, ICE trains, and the occasional internationl train, such as the DB service to Wroclaw (Breslau is German). Over the past few years, the station has been modernised, with the inclusion of passenger lifts to make if fully disabled accessible, new platform waiting rooms, and the shortening of some platforms and the lengthening of others. This film features views of most of the above, as well as the station exterior, and Christmas tree.

Dresden Freiberger Straße Railway Station, Dresden, Saxony, Germany - 121214
Dresden Freiberger Straße railway station, is a small S-Bahn station located between Dresden Hauptbahnhof and Dresden Mitte, at the intersection of Freiberger Straße and the 173 main road Ammonstraße. The station serves only local S-Bahn services, the S1 (Meissen Triebischtal to Schoena) and S2 (Pirna to Dresden Airport), but is in-between two busy rail junctions, and therefore has much varied rail traffic, including local, and regional Deutsche Bahn services, ICE trains, Intercity trains, EuroCity Express and a great deal of passing freight.
This film features views from the platform of Freiberger Straße of all of this very varied rail traffic, it also includes the final phases of exterior construction to Dresden's new climbing wall building - Sächsischer Bergsteigerbund (SBB), which has been built across the tracks from the station, and with it's gleaming white walls must surely be a magnet for the local graffiti artists! I'm sure when I return in July 2015, that the walls will not be so white any more.

Day Trip to Dresden, Germany
I took a day trip from Prague to Dresden as it is a short 2 hour bus ride from Prague.
Dresden is very easy to get to from Prague or vice versa. You can use student agency bus company or eurolines bus company.
Total ticket price ranges from estimated 20-40 USD depending on several factors including the time of departure, date and seats available.
The historical part of Dresden is very walkable and being near the Elbe river is great.
Make sure to grab a beer at a beer garden along with some sausages. I suggest the currywurst (I may have spelled that wrong).
