Visit Dublin –Things To Do and See in Dublin, Ireland
Come travel with us and discover the best things to do in Dublin, Ireland!
More than a thousand years old, Ireland’s capital is an enthralling destination to explore. Whether you’re looking to discover Dublin’s extensive history or get a taste of the pub culture, you’ll find it all on the eastern coast of Ireland.
Begin your Dublin sightseeing by getting to know the city’s past at the Kilmainham Gaol. This former prison, which dates back to 1796, most famously incarcerated nationalist leaders associated with the major rebellions, including the 1916 Easter Rising. The prison closed in 1924, and has since been restored as a museum focused on the story of Irish nationalism. Take a step back in history and embark on a guided tour of the largest unoccupied gaol in Ireland.
For more history lessons, continue your journey to the Christ Church Cathedral. It’s considered the seat of the Church of Ireland and Roman Catholic Archbishops of Dublin, and manuscripts date it back to 1030. The establishment has experienced many changes and restorations over the years, making it a prime place to trace the city’s history. Learn about King Henry VIII’s role and the church’s long rivalry with St. Patrick Cathedral.
After dabbling in Dublin’s past, head to Temple Bar to get a sense of the city’s culture. This cobblestone strip is considered the heart of its nightlife, but truthfully, it’s captivating at any time of the day. Spend an afternoon window shopping, and then step into one of the bars for a traditional pub experience—you’ll fit right in with a pint and a plate of pub fare.
No Dublin visit is complete without exploring the Guiness® Storehouse and the Old Jameson Distillery. The Guiness® Storehouse is home to the world’s largest pint glass, but it’s also where you can learn the story behind the popular stout and sip on the brew straight from the source. To keep the good times rolling, head across the River Liffey to the Old Jameson Distillery. Here you’ll learn what three ingredients make up the famous whiskey, and you’ll even have the opportunity to sip a signature Jameson cocktail.
On your next romp to Ireland, set out on Dublin tours for a peek into the country’s largest city. For more tips and recommendations to get you excited about visiting, watch our Dublin travel guide video.

A Taste of Dublin: My Review of Klaw
CAPA official vlogger Tylor Brooks shares her experience at Klaw, a popular seafood restaurant in Dublin.
GETTING OUR TASTE BUDS INTO A BOXTY (TRADITIONAL IRISH FOOD) DUBLIN IRELAND
After yesterdays day of drunken antics at Temple bar we decided today we would do something a bit more chilled and cultural. We started our day off by taking a trip to Trinity college to have a look at the book of Kells. The college itself is very impressive 16th centuray structure. The book of Kells is a beautifully illistrated book depicting the four gospals.... however when it came to having a look at the book of Kells itself the experience was very limited as you don't get to have much of a look. A bit disappointing.
We took a walk through st stephens green, a beautiful park in the heart of the city with lots of flowers and places to chill out... definitely what we needed. We then headed to one of the many catholic churches scattered around dublin white frier church where St valentines relics are ioacted. The church is so beautiful and colourful inside despite the outside looking like just another building.
To finish we took a trip to temple bar… we had heard good things about Gohertys boxy so we thought we'd check it out and sample some of the irish food that was on offer. We weren't disappointed! The food was absolutely delicious :D Dublin you have been fantastic! on to the next location in ireland! Hope you guys are enjoying our adventures so far :)

The Dubline - Fáilte Ireland's Culture & Heritage Walking Trail of Dublin
Designed to significantly enhance the visitor experience to Dublin, 'The Dubline' is a new uniquely branded cultural and heritage trail through Dublin that tells and shares the story of the capital from Trinity College to Kilaminham in an interactive way.
A line through Dublin. A walking route taking you from College Green to Kilmainham, via some of the best attractions the city has to offer.
That's just the beginning, too. Put one foot in front of the other, follow the trail, and you'll find much more than a zip-line through the history of a capital city.
You'll find a cultural experience tapping right into its 21st century spirit. You'll get under its skin. You'll see big hits like Trinity College, Dublin Castle and Kilmainham Gaol. But you can also listen to the music, taste the Guinness and kick back with Dubliners
as you go. The Dubline is as much about gregarious locals as ancient ghosts. It's both a heritage trail and a chance to take the pulse of a modern city.

OLD JAMESON WHISKEY DISTILLERY TOUR IN DUBLIN IRELAND-Sláinte!
We took the Old Jameson Whiskey Distillery tour on Bow St. in Dublin, Ireland where we learned the interesting history of the Old Jameson Distillery, including learning about its founder, John Jameson, and his sons. We also were shown how Jameson Whiskey is produced. Of course, the highlight of the tour was participating in some taste testing and getting a free glass of whiskey. I also bought a bottle of Jameson to bring home. As they say in Ireland: Sláinte!
