Elafiti Islands Cruise from Dubrovnik
Sail off to the Elafiti Islands on this cruise from Dubrovnik.
Beat the summertime crowds and the heat by going island hopping on a galleon to the Elafiti Islands. Hop on the replica of an old Dalmatian sailboat and sit back while eating a tasty seafood lunch and listening to a live band playing traditional Dalmatian songs. Then disembark and explore the ancient islands of Kolicep, Sipan, and Lopud and learn about their long histories from the local guide.

5 Top-Rated Day Trips from Dubrovnik | Croatia Day Tours Guide
5 Top-Rated Day Trips from Dubrovnik, Europe
Blessed with a stunning location on the Adriatic Sea, Dubrovnik is surrounded by rewarding day trip destinations. Just offshore, wooded islands punctuate the clear waters, with sleepy villages; calm, pebbly beaches; and time-worn monasteries and churches. Sailing trips are a popular way to explore these beautiful islands. Along the coast, red-roofed villas cascade down hillsides in picturesque towns such as Cavtat, and foodies will love the Peljesac Peninsula, with its patchwork of farms and succulent shellfish and oysters. Be sure to bring your passport; Dubrovnik is just a short drive away from the diminutive country of Montenegro, where you can soak up the hypnotic beauty of its tiny villages and hike amid pine-covered mountain peaks. And for history and culture vultures, Mostar in Bosnia Herzegovina outshines its battle-scarred past with its welcoming locals and picturesque old town on the banks of the Neretva River. Here five day trips from Dubrovnik, Croatia.

2. Cavtat

Croatia Dubrovnik:
Dubrovnik also known by other names) is a Croatian city on the Adriatic Sea, in the region of Dalmatia. It is one of the most prominent tourist destinations in the Mediterranean Sea, a seaport and the centre of Dubrovnik-Neretva County. Its total population is 42,615 (census 2011).In 1979, the city of Dubrovnik joined the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites.
The prosperity of the city was historically based on maritime trade; as the capital of the maritime Republic of Ragusa, it achieved a high level of development, particularly during the 15th and 16th centuries, as it became notable for its wealth and skilled diplomacy. The beginning of modern tourism is associated with the construction of the Hotel Imperial in Dubrovnik in 1897.[citation needed] Although it was demilitarised in the 1970s to protect it from war, in 1991, after the breakup of Yugoslavia, it was besieged by the Serb and Montenegrin soldiers gathered in the Yugoslav People's Army (JNA) for seven months and suffered significant damage from shelling.
Walls of Dubrovnik:
A feature of Dubrovnik is its walls (992,000 visitors in 2015) that run almost 2 kilometres (1.2 miles) around the city. The walls run from 4 to 6 metres (13–20 feet) thick on the landward side but are much thinner on the seaward side. The system of turrets and towers were intended to protect the vulnerable city. The walls of Dubrovnik have also been a popular filming site for the fictional city of King's Landing in the HBO television series, Game of Thrones.
Adriyat´ta denize yaslanmış şirin bir şehircik.7.yüzyılda kurulmuştur.O tarihten bugünlere dek çeşitli kültürlere tanık olmuş,yüzyıllar içinde gemilere bağrını açan bir liman şehridir...
Şehrin nüfusu 49.000'dir. Hırvatistan 'ın 1991'de Yugoslavya'dan ayrılışı sırasında çıkan iç savaşta, Sırp saldırıları nedeniyle şehirdeki tarihi eserler önemli ölçüde zarar gördü. UNESCO'nun başlattığı restorasyon çalışmaları ile de 2005 yılı itibariyle şehir eski görünümünü büyük ölçüde kazandı.

Today was my last day in Korčula. I'm so glad I took a ferry to Dubrovnik (as opposed to a bus) because the weather today was perfect! I hope you enjoy the views! I also included a peak at my flat for the weekend, as well as a wee grocery haul. Just know that Croatia has the best citrus. ????????

Head south to diminutive coastal Montenegro on this day trip from Dubrovnik. Take a scenic drive on the southern Dalmatian Coast and experience small Adriatic villages and towns, including the UNESCO-listed Kotor, situated in Europe’s southernmost fjord. Admire Sveti Stefan, a medieval island turned luxury hotel, and spend some time in Budva, a walled medieval town on the sea, like a mini Dubrovnik. Finish with a ferry ride back to Dubrovnik. Get picked up at your hotel in Dubrovnik and then hop inside the air-conditioned vehicle to make the drive south to Montenegro. Drink in the views of the Adriatic Sea and the Dubrovnik Riviera and learn about the history and culture of the area from your local guide. After crossing the border to Montenegro, twist and turn with the road, going around the large Bay of Kotor, and passing through charming villages along the way. Then stop in Perast, a lovely town at the base of St Elijah Hill. Consider taking the optional boat ride to Our Lady of the Rocks island to check out the baroque-era church (at own expense). The next stop is Kotor, situated in a fjord and one of the most eye-pleasing Montenegrin towns. Once there, begin a walking tour that goes throughout the squares and narrow cobbled streets, taking you to historic churches such as the Cathedral of St Tryphon. Then take some free time to do some wandering — consider marching up the 1,350 steep steps to the San Giovanni Castle for an incredible view and photo opportunity — or sit down for a drink or a snack (at own expense). After Kotor, drive down the coast further until you reach Sveti Stefan (St Stephen). Once a medieval fishing village with a small inlet connecting it to the mainland, Sveti Stefani is now a luxury hotel. After gawking at the island-turned-resort, head to Budva, a 15-minute drive north of Sveti Stefan. This gorgeous walled city on the sea boasts attractive beaches and narrow cobbled streets. Take some free time to explore or sit down for a meal (at own expense). Take a ferry ride across the Bay of Kotor and then enjoy a final scenic drive along the coastal roads of Montenegro to end your day. You’ll be returned to your Dubrovnik hotel.

CRAZY DUBROVNIK STORIES | Old City Walking Tour | Sail Croatia Day 3 of 8
Dubrovnik has some crazy history so today we made our way from the port and took a walking tour of the old city. Sail Croatia... ⬇ Click 'Show More' ⬇
A walking tour of Dubrovnik seemed like the best way to learn about the old town, the city history, the walls and castle development and just how the old town came to be. We weren't wrong. Beyond the Game of Thrones fame, Dubrovnik has an incredible past.
History ranging from attacks, bombs, fires and more have shaped the city of Dubrovnik to where it is today. This tour was only an hour long and gave us so much insight into Croatia as a whole, while also providing a great tour of the Dubrovnik town inside the walls as well.
This is day 3 of our Sail Croatia Explorer Cruise and we LOVE IT! We were docked in the Dubrovnik Port, well actually it's Port Gruz, and made our way in to the city for one of the optional excursions provided by Sail Croatia.
Sail Croatia is known for it's Navigator cruise, it's more tailored towards the party vibe and younger crowds. We were so pleased to hear they also offer multiple other cruises and the Explorer cruise was right up our alley! Check out the Sail Croatia Explorer Cruise here:

Croatia Katarina Line Boat Tour/ Dubrovnik Walls/ Slano Street Food Day 1
Day one with Katharina boat tours and the first thing we did was go and see the Dubrovnik walls from the sea. This was challenging for me because I am constantly switching back and fourth between video and photos, and then switching lenses for video and photos. Throughout these blogs, you will see my struggles of trying to figure out if I should focus more on photos or video because it does get exhausting trying to do both.
In the video, I also do a little real estate video tour of the boat. It is definitely not supposed to be super clean because we have already moved into the boat, and I did not want to spend the time cleaning everything. It was just more of a video to show you how it looked.
In the middle of the tour, I also mention that I like to always have do not disturb on my hotel doors because I do not want anyone going into my room when I am not there since I do keep my computer and other things in there from time to time. I do get fresh towels every now and again, but I just find the maid and switch them out. It is nice coming back to a clean room, but I also have a bunch of my stuff scattered throughout the room, so I do not want to stress the maid out trying to clean around my stuff.
Also with the tour video, it was hard to get nice stable and level footage because the boat was rocking and the gimbal stays level with the ground and not the boat. Basically what I am saying is that please do not judge that video on my real estate video skills!
One major thing that I did not notice for a while is that when I have a microphone on top of the camera with the gimbal, the microphone will cause the gimbal to kind of bounce up and down which causes the footage to look a little bouncy. So if you have a similar setup and are wondering why your footage still looks not as stable as it could be, the microphone could be the issue. A way to test this is to just turn everything on and just touch the microphone, as it moves, the gimbal moves the slightest bit. There are two solutions to fix the problem, and that is to take the microphone off, or put the microphone on the handle, so that the movement does not affect the gimbal. But then you still have a cord that gets in the way of the gimbal.
We then stopped at a little swim stop where Lia and I were taking some test shots with the GoPro7. I have shot with a gopro before, but have not had time to really try different settings and features so I used this time to just try different things.
I then go to test the gopro audio quality while we were in the hottub and I noticed that the microphone does get weird if the gopro has been wet. So if I am doing an audio clip with the gopro, I just have to remember to shake it out to try and get as much water out of the microphone holes.
When we got to port in Slano, we did not know that it was the first day of Siđ, a traditional folk festival in Slano. And what we also did not know is that they were serving up some STREET MEAT! If you have been following a long, you will know that I am extremely excited to try the street food in south east Asia. In Slano, they had racks and racks of full bodied lamb on rotisserie. I was excited to try it because up to this point, and including on the boat, we have not had good food.
But before we got to eating, Lia and I went exploring. We actually found a trail that lead us up to a little mountain on the side of the town and we were able to get an amazing view of the whole town. The trail was not completely paved and it was overgrown, but it was not that difficult. Going on trails like this is one of my favorite things to do because not many people do it, so I am seeing things that most haven't.
After the hike, we made out way back to where the street meat was. Lia opted for an overcooked hamburger, while I got half a pound of lamb. As I am writing this, I am craving that lamb. There is something about street meat that makes it better than anything else. It was tasty. And with the thought of writing about how it tasted, I do need to read some food blogs to see what they say about food because all I know is if I like it or I don't, and if its really good or just ok.
Just know, if you are there during the festival, do get the lamb.

Croatia || 3 Island cruise from Dubrovnik
From my trip to Croatia June 2018. We went on a cruise to tree different Islands around Dubrovnik during the same day. We visited Sipan, Lopud and Kolocep. We visited churts, olive plantation and took a hike to the other side of the Island of Sipan where Sandy beach is. At Sandy beach i swimmed to a small cave. It was cool.
