Elafiti Islands Cruise from Dubrovnik
Sail off to the Elafiti Islands on this cruise from Dubrovnik.
Beat the summertime crowds and the heat by going island hopping on a galleon to the Elafiti Islands. Hop on the replica of an old Dalmatian sailboat and sit back while eating a tasty seafood lunch and listening to a live band playing traditional Dalmatian songs. Then disembark and explore the ancient islands of Kolicep, Sipan, and Lopud and learn about their long histories from the local guide.

Today was my last day in Korčula. I'm so glad I took a ferry to Dubrovnik (as opposed to a bus) because the weather today was perfect! I hope you enjoy the views! I also included a peak at my flat for the weekend, as well as a wee grocery haul. Just know that Croatia has the best citrus. ????????

Head south to diminutive coastal Montenegro on this day trip from Dubrovnik. Take a scenic drive on the southern Dalmatian Coast and experience small Adriatic villages and towns, including the UNESCO-listed Kotor, situated in Europe’s southernmost fjord. Admire Sveti Stefan, a medieval island turned luxury hotel, and spend some time in Budva, a walled medieval town on the sea, like a mini Dubrovnik. Finish with a ferry ride back to Dubrovnik. Get picked up at your hotel in Dubrovnik and then hop inside the air-conditioned vehicle to make the drive south to Montenegro. Drink in the views of the Adriatic Sea and the Dubrovnik Riviera and learn about the history and culture of the area from your local guide. After crossing the border to Montenegro, twist and turn with the road, going around the large Bay of Kotor, and passing through charming villages along the way. Then stop in Perast, a lovely town at the base of St Elijah Hill. Consider taking the optional boat ride to Our Lady of the Rocks island to check out the baroque-era church (at own expense). The next stop is Kotor, situated in a fjord and one of the most eye-pleasing Montenegrin towns. Once there, begin a walking tour that goes throughout the squares and narrow cobbled streets, taking you to historic churches such as the Cathedral of St Tryphon. Then take some free time to do some wandering — consider marching up the 1,350 steep steps to the San Giovanni Castle for an incredible view and photo opportunity — or sit down for a drink or a snack (at own expense). After Kotor, drive down the coast further until you reach Sveti Stefan (St Stephen). Once a medieval fishing village with a small inlet connecting it to the mainland, Sveti Stefani is now a luxury hotel. After gawking at the island-turned-resort, head to Budva, a 15-minute drive north of Sveti Stefan. This gorgeous walled city on the sea boasts attractive beaches and narrow cobbled streets. Take some free time to explore or sit down for a meal (at own expense). Take a ferry ride across the Bay of Kotor and then enjoy a final scenic drive along the coastal roads of Montenegro to end your day. You’ll be returned to your Dubrovnik hotel.

5 Top-Rated Day Trips from Dubrovnik | Croatia Day Tours Guide
5 Top-Rated Day Trips from Dubrovnik, Europe
Blessed with a stunning location on the Adriatic Sea, Dubrovnik is surrounded by rewarding day trip destinations. Just offshore, wooded islands punctuate the clear waters, with sleepy villages; calm, pebbly beaches; and time-worn monasteries and churches. Sailing trips are a popular way to explore these beautiful islands. Along the coast, red-roofed villas cascade down hillsides in picturesque towns such as Cavtat, and foodies will love the Peljesac Peninsula, with its patchwork of farms and succulent shellfish and oysters. Be sure to bring your passport; Dubrovnik is just a short drive away from the diminutive country of Montenegro, where you can soak up the hypnotic beauty of its tiny villages and hike amid pine-covered mountain peaks. And for history and culture vultures, Mostar in Bosnia Herzegovina outshines its battle-scarred past with its welcoming locals and picturesque old town on the banks of the Neretva River. Here five day trips from Dubrovnik, Croatia.

Croatia Dubrovnik:
Dubrovnik also known by other names) is a Croatian city on the Adriatic Sea, in the region of Dalmatia. It is one of the most prominent tourist destinations in the Mediterranean Sea, a seaport and the centre of Dubrovnik-Neretva County. Its total population is 42,615 (census 2011).In 1979, the city of Dubrovnik joined the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites.
The prosperity of the city was historically based on maritime trade; as the capital of the maritime Republic of Ragusa, it achieved a high level of development, particularly during the 15th and 16th centuries, as it became notable for its wealth and skilled diplomacy. The beginning of modern tourism is associated with the construction of the Hotel Imperial in Dubrovnik in 1897.[citation needed] Although it was demilitarised in the 1970s to protect it from war, in 1991, after the breakup of Yugoslavia, it was besieged by the Serb and Montenegrin soldiers gathered in the Yugoslav People's Army (JNA) for seven months and suffered significant damage from shelling.
Walls of Dubrovnik:
A feature of Dubrovnik is its walls (992,000 visitors in 2015) that run almost 2 kilometres (1.2 miles) around the city. The walls run from 4 to 6 metres (13–20 feet) thick on the landward side but are much thinner on the seaward side. The system of turrets and towers were intended to protect the vulnerable city. The walls of Dubrovnik have also been a popular filming site for the fictional city of King's Landing in the HBO television series, Game of Thrones.

Ferry from Croatia to Italy travel vlog from Dubrovnik to Bari
Come join us as we take an overnight ferry from Croatia to Italy departing from Dubrovnik and arriving in Bari in this travel vlog. Aside from our overnight ferry our journey which started in Budva, Montenegro included bus trips and a train ride to get to our final destination of Matera, Italy. It ended up being a long journey but surprisingly we felt refreshed especially by having a chance to sleep overnight on the ferry. If you're considering taking the ferry from Croatia to Italy or Italy to Croatia we'd highly recommend it.

Ferry from Croatia to Italy travel vlog from Dubrovnik to Bari Video Transcript:
Alright guys good morning. Good morning. It is time for a very long long travel day ahead us. Yeah. Want to tell us what is the plan for today? Well, this is going to be our longest travel vlog we've ever created. We're going to be going to three countries. We're going to be taking the bus, then we're going to be taking an overnight ferry and then we're going to be taking another bus. So basically of yeah we're heading from first off we're heading from Budva, Montenegro to Dubrovnik, Croatia by bus. I think that is going to be about a three hour journey. Yeah. And then we're going to be waiting for a few hours and boarding an overnight ferry and that is going to be really cool. We've never done that before. We've never done an overnight ferry. No. Yeah, so we're going to be going from Dubrovnik, Croatia to Bari, Italy by ferry. Right. And it is overnight. It is going to be a ten hour journey. Yeah. And then once we arrive we're trying to reach Matera. Yes. Which actually I looked it up yesterday it is about an hour by bus. Okay. I had said 30 minutes. It is not 30 minutes. We haven't booked tickets for that so we'll be booking that bus ticket and kind of winging it. But yeah, we'll show you the whole journey and we'll talk about the prices and we'll show you what we eat along the way. So we're really looking forward to this. It is going to be a long vlog. So uh buckle up and let's get going. Let's go.
Well guys our food has arrived. We are eating at what is the name of this place? I always forget. This place is called Taboo and we ate here when we first arrived in Budva because it was too early to check in to our apartment. Yeah. So I got myself some kind of panini with prosciutto, tomato, cheese, lettuce, fries and Sam got himself pizza. Yeah, thin crust pizza. Yeah. So it looks good. How is it? The fries are good. I haven't tried the sandwich yet.
But it looks nice. Yeah, covered in sesame seeds. One thing I have to say is uh compared to Croatia and Bosnia the food that we had in Montenegro was a pretty big step down. Haha. In terms of like it just we didn't find that many restaurants that we loved. Yeah. I think our best meal was the one we had on that day trip (to Perast). Do you remember? Pasta. That is right. Perast. Yeah, exactly. Yeah. But this is like you know this place is I would say has okay food. Yeah. Um, good prices. It is like International food. Yeah. Stuff you could find anywhere. Pastas, pizzas, sandwiches but there is nothing like super local or traditional. Yeah but it is fine. We need a snack before we get on the bus. This works.

From my trip to Croatia June 2018. We went on a cruise to tree different Islands around Dubrovnik during the same day. We visited Sipan, Lopud and Kolocep. We visited churts, olive plantation and took a hike to the other side of the Island of Sipan where Sandy beach is. At Sandy beach i swimmed to a small cave. It was cool.
