Best Beaches In Dubrovnik Croatia | We Love Croatian Beaches
Some of our favourite beaches in Croatia are in Dubrovnik, and if you are visiting for the swimming and the coast then you will love it! The best beaches in Dubrovnik in our opinion are Sveti Jakov Beach, Banje Beach, Šulić Beach, Bellevue Beach, Lapad Beach, Copacabana Beach and Coral Beach Club. Buza Beach is another area to swim, and if you visit Lokrom Island you can swim here too either at the rocky beach area, or other pretty spots around the island.

ABOUT US
Hi, we’re Chris and Mandy, travel bloggers and creators from Australia. Since December 2015, we have been travelling and exploring the world full-time. We usually spend 1-2 months in each place we travel to and love really getting to know a place. One of our favourite ways to get to know a destination is through food, and we share all of our food guides here on Youtube and on our travel blogs. We love to pack light, travelling the past 3 years with carry-on only. On AlmostLanding.com, we share in-depth guides to help you plan the best trip, we often have free printable guides you can download or print out, we’ve created our own travel maps pinpointing our favourite picks for different places so you can easily find everything and make travel planning easy. We have another travel blog all on Bali, AlmostLanding-Bali.com, we’ve spent so much time in Bali and share everything we know and love about this beautiful island. We’ve fallen in love with travel and blogging, and we wanted to create a space for other travel lovers and life dreamers. Thanks for being a part of Almost Landing, and make sure to say hi :)
Dubrovnik Beach Day Vlog | Rockiest Beach In Croatia
Dubrovnik Beach Day Vlog | Rockiest Beach In Croatia
We were looking for things to do in Dubrovnik. What are Croatian beaches like? We took a walk to Lapad Beach in Dubrovnik, Croatia. Dubrovnik beaches are very popular Adriatic Sea beaches. The Dalmatian Coast beaches are beautiful. We usually share our travel blogs but this is a Dubrovnik vlog as we visit one of the rockiest beaches we have ever seen. We were surprised when we were trying to figure out where to swim in Dubrovnik. This Croatian vlog will show you one of the best Croatian beaches. I am a travel blogger but I love to make vlogs of fun things. We have fallen in love with the Dalmatian Coast. Croatia is a great place to enjoy quiet beaches, they get over 250 days of sunshine each year. Lapad Beach Dubrovnik Croatia is a great place to visit although it's a bit rocky.

Short drive in Dubrovnik and beautiful coastal roads
This was truly one of the most inspiring road trips I had had in 2018, when my wife booked a holiday to Dubrovnik, Croatia without telling me until we got to the airport. With big thanks to the amazing family-run car rental business EasyRent, I drove around parts of Dubrovnik and along the beautiful coastal road on one morning to show you how much I recommend this place, especially if you're keen on driving. Hvala Hrvatska!

Dubrovnik, Croatia: Pearl of the Adriatic
More info about travel to Dubrovnik: Confined within its walls as it has been for centuries, Dubrovnik juts out from the rocky Croatian coastline looking inviting from both the land and the sea. Though the war killed tourism in the 1990s, today the crowds are most decidedly back. And understandably so — Dubrovnik is a living fairy tale that shouldn't be missed.

Highlights of Dubrovnik, Croatia
Includes drone footage of the Dubrovnik’s old town and St Jacobs beach.
Travel video blog about one of my favorite cities in the world: Dubrovnik, Croatia. Dubrovnik is a very popular destination for tourists because the city offers a combination of history, beautiful architecture and also some of world’s most beautiful beaches. During summer, Dubrovnik also has a great nightlife, with many bars and restaurants offering a wide range of amazing food influenced by the local history and Adriatic flavours.
With so beautiful landscapes and rich history, it’s not hard to understand why Dubrovnik has been selected to be the filming location for the popular TV series Game of Thrones.
Our holiday trip to Dubrovnik took place at the end of summer in 2016, some of the places you will see in this vlog are: The old town, St Jacobs beach, the Walls of Dubrovnik and the cable car.
This video was recorded with three cameras:
1. Go pro 4 in HD videos
2. Panasonic Lumix GX85 in 4K videos
3. Drone footage recorded with a DJ Phanton 3 standard
At the end of our trip to Dubrovnik we travelled to Mostar and then Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzegovina, stopping by in places like Kravice Falls, Blagaj, Pocitelj and others. To watch my videos about Bosnia, please find the links at the bottom of this page.

1. Go pro 4 - HD videos
2. Panasonic Lumix GX85 - 4 K videos

Last year, over a million people visited the beautiful Croatian walled city of Dubrovnik. But the UNESCO World Heritage site on the Adriatic coast is becoming a victim of its own success. With thousands of visitors every day, Dubrovnik is suffering a similar fate to other mass tourist destinations throughout Europe. Authorities are now considering options to limit access to the Old City, as this report explains.

Lapad Beach Area in Dubrovnik, Croatia (Uvala Lapad Beach)
Several wonderful beaches are located in part of Dubrovnik called Lapad. Lapad is a peninsula holding the most beautiful, outer walls, part of Dubrovnik, with a heavenly bay, Sumratin bay (Uvala Lapad) in which all these beaches are located.
To reach this beach take bus no 2 to Uvala Lapad and get off at the bus stop at Hotel Park, or take no 6 to Bulevar and then take first street on the left, walking for 10 min to reach the sea shore – and you are there right at the beach!
The beach is located in the vicinity of several Lapad Hotels as well as many restaurants, cafe bars, tennis courts, children playgrounds.
On the beach itself there is a restaurant and couple of café bars.
The beach is equipped with showers and changing cabins, sun umbrellas and deck chairs.
Uvala Lapad bay has a long boulevard with many coffee bars where one can refresh himself in hot summer days. At the end of this boulevard, beaches are located. First beach is called Uvala Lapad or Uvala (meaning Bay). It is a sandy beach offering many things. If you just like to sit and enjoy the view there are a beach restaurant and coffee bars. For those who want to lie down and enjoy in the sun, easy chairs can be rented, and if it becomes to hot, beach umbrellas are for rent too.

Dubrovnik In Your Pocket - Dubrovnik, Croatia Highlights
The stones of Dubrovnik tell a 13-century-long tale of survival. The Roman city of Ragusa developed into a city-state encompassing the coast as far south as the Bay of Kotor, the Pelješac Peninsula and nearby islands including Mljet and Lastovo.
On the walls of Korčula Town, antique cannons still aim across a narrow channel at the village of Orebić, on Pelješac. That's because Korčula was an outpost of Dubrovnik's rival, the Republic of Venice.
Legend has it that St. Blaise appeared in a vision in 971 to warn Dubrovnik of an impending Venetian invasion. He's been revered here ever since. But it's appropriate that he's the saint who is celebrated with the blessing of throats. After all, Dubrovnik remained independent and prosperous for more than a millennium on its citizens' powers of negotiation.
Now Dubrovnik has thrown open its gates to an annual invasion of thousands of visitors who come to walk its ancient streets, to see the wealth the city amassed through centuries of trade, and to stand on its mighty walls and gaze across the crystalline seas.

Croatia is stunning - Dubrovnik to Zagreb road trip
This is a highlight reel of our two-week road trip through Croatia in August 2018, starting in Dubrovnik and ending in Zagreb. We visited Dubrovnik, Trsteno, Trogir, Split, Zadar, Rastoke, Plitvice Lakes, Motovun, Rovinj, Pula (not shown unfortunately), Hum, Opatija and Zagreb.
What an awesome country! I hope that this is helpful to anyone looking to plan a holiday to Croatia and that it gives you an idea of what the scenery is like. I'd recommend visiting all of these places and driving along the coastal route whenever you get the chance.
