Duloe Stone Circle
Duloe Stone Circle is a Bronze Age stone circle in Duloe in East Cornwall. While the stone circle is the smallest in Cornwall, it is made up of some tall stones making it the tallest stone circle in Cornwall. The stone circle is made out of Quartz Stones, very different to most other stone circles in Cornwall. Duloe Stone Circle is made out of nine stones with the tallest being around 8.7 feet high and weighing 12 tons. Duloe Stone Circle was the inspiration for the video game 'Barrow Hill' made by Shadow Tor Studios in 2006. A few years ago, UFO's were reported to be seen over some of the stones making up Duloe Stone Circle, this was investigated by a local UFO investigation team, it is known that the UFOs were reported by three people. Some other ancient sites around Duloe Stone Circle are Duloe Holy Well and St Keyne Holy Well.

Unique Duloe Stone Circle Cornwall
Video film of this enigmatic and unusual small stone circle.Duloe is unique in some ways as the size,shape and colour of the stones make it so.Video taken in late winter.White stones are said to relate to the moon worship and goodess moon by some writers.There is a white quartz stone at Boscowen Un stone circle which possibly supports this hypothesis.
This circle is best visited in summer and spring when the ground is dry.We obviously have to visit out of season so that the sites are not co-visited by strangers who may object to being shown on youtube.

The Ancient Sites of Cornwall Tour
Seven Day Ancient Sites of Cornwall Tour
The mystical Atlantic peninsula of Cornwall is home to a whole variety of ancient sites and we have a full week to explore the wonderful countryside and spectacular sea and cliff views of this English Riviera. Our home for the week will be Newquay, where we will have a free day to relax on the beach where surfing lessons are available for the energetic. You could walk the cliffs and discover the ‘Hidden Church’ and other gems of the area, spend time in the hotel pool, or just visit the shops and bars. The Watering Hole pub, near the hotel, is the only licensed beach bar in Britain and is one of the town’s live music venues. After ten years this might be the last year that we will be able to stay at the Ponsmere Hotel, ‘The Hotel on the Beach’, so don’t miss the chance.
We will have two days visiting the ancient sites of the Lands End Peninsula where we will find a plethora of stone circles, ancient holy wells, Cornish Crosses and ancient settlements. We will also have a full day on Bodmin Moor the home of the famous Hurler Stones stone circles, the Cheese Rings and the Quartz Duloe Stone Circle. We will also call in at the Jamaica Inn, the old smugglers meeting place on the moor and the location of the smugglers museum and where Daphne Du Maurier and Alfred Hitchcock based their novel and film of the same name. Not far from the inn is a little known church which was once a meeting place of the Knights Templar.
We will also visit the Cornish town of Tintagel where we will visit Tintagel Castle, said to be the birth place of King Arthur and Merlin’s Cave beneath it. We will then move on to mystical Boscastle to visit the famous and fascinating witchcraft museum, which boasts exhibits from a whole variety of mystic and magical traditions.
Cornwall is an epicentre of ancient sites particularly from the Neolithic and Bronze Ages and a visit here is a must for anyone interested in exploring mystical Britain.
Cattle destabilise stones of Tregeseal Stone Circle
For the second time longhorn cattle introduced as part of a Higher Level Stewardship conservation grazing scheme onto Carnyorth Common near St Just have destabilised a stone of the ancient Tregeseal Circle -- two years ago some 3 or 4 stones were loosened -- after only a week or so being back on the Common after their winter 'break'. (see photos above)
Clumps of cattle hair on many stones show that they are using them as rubbing posts.
It is only a matter of time before this herd of about 16 animals create more havoc.
That this has happened shows our concerns, relayed to Natural England several years ago, are fully justified that the presence of these animals will not only damage this important archaeological site but, as has been witnessed by local regular walkers of this moor, has also caused a dramatic drop in the number of walkers and horse riders over the past two years.
Save Penwith Moors consider the current Higher Level Stewardship agreement covering this Common -- declared in a Natural England document of 2007 to be in good condition is an unnecessary and very expensive waste of public money (about £20,000 a year for 10 years) in an era of drastic public spending cuts; a ruin of the moor through visually intrusive new barbed wire fencing, gates and a cattle grid;
intimidating and potentially dangerous presence of free-roaming cattle that can -- and do -- frequently graze on the north-eastern part of the Common for which there is no known ownership and is not part of the area for which HLS payment is currently being made, and where two new gates were installed under the Natural England HEATH project under very dubious legal circumstances.
It is high time that this scheme for Carnyorth Common is abandoned and all the new (and old mid-1980's) stock proofing removed. Most of these issues are now being assessed by the Parliamentary Ombudsman as part of a complaint of alleged maladministration by the Natural England HEATH project and Higher Level Stewardship agreement.
