Cloudy Drive From Glencarse On A90 To Repertory Theatre In Dundee Scotland
Tour Scotland Summer travel video of a cloudy morning road trip drive from Glencarse in Perthshire, East on the A90 road to the Repertory Theatre in the city of Dundee. The Rep building is located in Tay Square at the centre of the city’s cultural quarter in the West End. It operates as both a producing house, staging at least six of its own productions each year, and a receiving house, hosting work from visiting companies throughout Scotland and the United Kingdom including drama, musicals, contemporary and classical dance, children’s theatre, comedy, jazz and opera. It is home to the Dundee Rep Ensemble, Scotland’s only full-time company of actors, as well as Scotland’s principal contemporary dance company, Scottish Dance Theatre. If my tour guests are talking to each other in my vehicle, I turn off the microphone on my dashboard camera to protect their privacy.

All Or Nothing - The Mod Musical
ALL OR NOTHING
WRITTEN BY CAROL HARRISON
Thu 5 - Sat 7 October:
In 1964, a new phenomenon exploded onto the dingy British streets. It was the essence of all that was cool. It was Mod. Mods stuck two fingers up at the class-ridden society and its dull redundant culture. They were working-class free spirits who rode sexy streamlined Italian Vespas or Lambrettas.
The sharpest Mod of all was known as a ‘FACE’.
The Small Faces encapsulated all that is Mod, a unique blend of taste and testosterone, neat, clothes obsessed and street-wise. But these cult sophisticates shared another passion, their dedication to Rhythm ‘n’ Blues. This quintessentially British ‘Mod’ Musical celebrates the unique sound of the iconic ‘60s Mod band, The Small Faces.
Featuring the music of the Small Faces, including an arsenal of brilliant hits like Whatcha Gonna Do About It, Lazy Sunday, Tin Soldier, Sha La La La Lee, Itchycoo Park and of course All Or Nothing

Our Flow! INFORM Theatre Final Performance
Between March and May 2018, The Artifact worked in partnership with INFORM Theatre, a group of young adults with learning disabilities, a partnership between Tayberry Enterprise and Dundee Rep Theatre. Together we are used dance and spoken word to create a new performance surrounding the theme of disability hate crime. The participants, who have experiences of autism, aspergers, downs syndrome ADHD and more, had the opportunity to define what disability hate crime means to them, and how to combat it. We hope that the final results will eventually make their way into an educational film.

Mary Queen of Scots Got Her Head Chopped Off is widely considered a modern Scottish classic and re-tells the well-known story of the life and death of Mary Queen of Scots.
Mary Stuart returns to rule Scotland after the death of her husband Dauphin of France, ignorant of Scottish culture. Elizabeth Tudor, her cousin, understands the ruthlessness required to become a powerful monarch. There can only be one ruler and one queen.
The deadly game soon unfolds as blood is spilled, wars are lost and won and the battle for the throne comes to a head.
Written by the current national poet/Makar Liz Lochhead, this robust, vigorous, funny and ultimately tragic tale examines the tensions between Scotland and England, between Catholic and Protestant and between women and men; many of which are still relevant today.
This is the beginning of a two year partnership with Royal Lyceum Edinburgh and is directed by Lyceum associate artist Tony Cownie.

...a richly and subtly textured piece. The Stage
Set on a remote island in the middle of the Atlantic, based loosely on the real island of Tristan da Cunha, Further Than the Furthest Thing tells the story of a small community isolated from the world beyond the ocean.
Island life appears simple and pure but when a new visitor arrives, past secrets threaten to erupt and destroy the calm. When an apparently dormant volcano becomes active, the inhabitants are forced to flee their homes in search of a new life.
Arriving in a place of industry and progress, the islanders are soon put to work and must quickly adapt to their new surroundings.
Can they ever return to their island? The truth will slowly unravel and life will never be the same again.
The Rep stage will be flooded with 29,000 litres of water for this spectacular production which will be James Brining's (Sunshine on Leith, Sweeney Todd) final play with Dundee Rep.
