Life's a beach - Hervey Bay, Rainbow Beach and Teewah Beach, Australia
A short and sweet video that starts off in Hervey bay and features shots of the iconic jetty and usual lovely beach. We spent Australia day having a few bevvies, playing some sand games with a few locals and of course a classic Aussie BBQ. After a few nights out of the tent it was good to be home in our cruiser as we made the drive from Rainbow beach South along Teewah all the way to Noosa over the course of 3 days. The days were full of swimming, 'surfing', chess and scrabble, reading and exercising (just Tash; Ryan watched). Feeling tanned, salty and like there was sand in every last crevice we left the beach and chased a hot shower (finally!). We also filmed our pack up routine which we are pretty sure we have down to a T. Unfortunately Ryan got a little too eager and bashed my (Tash's) head in on his way past. Better luck on the next worlding pack up I guess!

Hervey Bay is a bay and a city in the Fraser Coast Region of Queensland, Australia.It is a natural bay between the Queensland mainland and nearby Fraser Island. The local economy relies on tourism which is based primarily around whale watching in Platypus Bay to the north, ferry access to Fraser Island, accessible recreational fishing and boating and the natural north facing, calm beaches with wide undeveloped foreshore zones.
Urangan Pier is a historic pier in Urangan, Hervey Bay.
It is a former deep-water, cargo-handling facility originally built to facilitate the export of sugar, timber and coal. The pier, served by the extension of the railway line from Pialba, was used for the transfer of cargo between rail and ships. It was built between 1913 and 1917,[2] originally to a length of 1107 metres. The pier was closed in 1985, and 239 metres of it was demolished. However, due to public outcry, 868 metres of the pier was left, and the land was handed to the Hervey Bay City Council.
By 2009 the last 220-metre section of the pier had been fully restored, and the original timber pylons had been replaced with steel pylons with a plastic covering
