Chilika Lake,Narayani Temple,Niramalajhar,Barkul,Rambha Pathanibas,Gems of Odisha

Chilki-Chilika Lake is a brackish water lagoon, spread over the Puri,
Khurda and Ganjam districts of Odisha state on the east coast of India,
at the mouth of the Daya River, flowing into the Bay of Bengal, covering
an area of over 1,100 km.

Nalbana-Nalbana Bird Sanctuary or Nalbana Island is the core area of the
Ramsar designated wetlands of Chilika Lake. It was declared a bird sanctuary
under the Wildlife Protection Act in 1972. In the heart of the park, one can
see thousands of birds descending during the migratory season

Barkul-Barkul Panthanivas of OTDC ( Orissa Tourism Development Corporation )
is the hub of tourism from this part of the lake.

narayani Temple-Narayani Temple is dedicated to ten armed goddess Narayani
or Parvathi and is located in Narayani village situated near Khalikote,
Odisha, India. The temple is popular for Durga Puja and a fair held in the
Indian month of Chaitra. The temple was renovated by the zamindars of
Khalikote in the early 18th century.

Niramalajhar-The Nirmaljhar is a perennial stream in the Ganjam District
in the Indian state of Odisha. It is located beside the temple of Lord Vishnu.
The Nirmaljhar flows from the Badaghati Mountains in Eastern Ghats. Khallikote
princess Smt. Sugyani Devi has currently formed a committee to promote Nirmaljhar
as a tourist site.

rambha-Queen of natural beauty, Chilika, the largest brackish water lake in Asia covering
an area of over 1,100 sq. km is a great attraction for the tourists for fishing, bird
watching and boating. In winter Chilika aflutters with thousands of indigenous and migratory
birds of many varieties from far and near - even from the distant Siberia. The fabulous beauty
of Chilika which has inspired poets to sing its glory and which can be best enjoyed from Balugaon,
Barkul, Rambha and Satpada must be seen to be believed. One can also have a glimpse of the
lake from the moving trains and vehicles on the road near these places. The atmosphere
is just serene and undisturbed amidst the blue expanse of water on one side and an
evergreen range of hills on the other. Dotted with a host of islands with romantic names,
a cruise in Chilika will be a life-long memory.

From #Phulbani to #Balaskumpa you can hire vehicle four wheeler/car/jeep/auto/minibus.
Balaskumpa (an Odisha Tourism Place) is situated at a distance of 18km from Phulabani.Baraladevi village is also popular for its tribes and as per them the goddess #BaralaDevi is the creator of this world(sources says) but we know that Lord Brahma is the creator of this world.


If you visited this place, you can also visit Pillasalunki Dam (pila salunki dam) which is 3km away from Balaskumpa and Chakapada where you can visit Birupakshya temple.In Pilasalunki Dam you can enjoy the nature and it's a beautiful picnic hotspot, the beautiful area in the lap of nature.

From District Headquarter of Ganjam Chatrapur (Fmous for Rmchandi Temple) the distance to Banapur Bhagabati Mandira is 60km.

Water Reservoir Salia Dam is just 18km away from NH-16(From Banapur Square) and 12km from Bhagbati temple.

Trekking to Vanadurga Temple from Narayani

Narayani khola is by the side of National highway near Balugaon in Ganjam district of Orissa. You have to climb up a small hill to visit the temple of Goddess Narayani. The environment is similar to Barunei temple near Khurda and Bali Harachandi temple near Brahmagiri. Narayani khola is a popular picnic spot with hills, forests, wildness linked with religion. From Narayani temple you can climb further up about 200 meters in the forest to visit Vanadurga temple. This will be a pleasant and adventurous trekking.
