This limited, exclusive excursion will allow you to enjoy the scenery and history of the Klondike Gold Rush at a leisurely pace. Your small group of explorers will set out in comfort on an adventure from Skagway into the Yukon Territory via the famous routes taken by the hardy gold prospectors in the late 1800's. You'll be driving your Hummer into the heart of the rugged wilderness made famous by fabled gold rush legends Robert Service and Jack London.
Your experienced tour guide, in the lead vehicle, will entertain you with tales of the gold rush era via an interactive, two-way radio system. Your guide will lead your caravan to destinations such as Pitchfork Falls, Moore Bridge, Dead Horse Gulch, Bracket Wagon Trail, and Tormented Valley. Additionally, you will visit the historic village of Carcross, named after the narrow Caribou crossing at the headwaters of the mighty Yukon River. After a short break, your caravan will travel to The World's Smallest Desert, and finally, the highlight of this adventure, Emerald Lake, known for its vivid turquoise water. You will also enjoy an Alaskan style snack prior to hearing the story of Jefferson Randolph Soapy Smith, Skagway's most notorious outlaw, on your return trip to Skagway. This spellbinding adventure crosses an international border. You must bring your Passport and driver's license. Remember to take along a camera and some friends for this five-hour adventure.

HELP!!! I lost my wallet in Canada on a Cruise to Alaska!
How to enjoy your trip from Skagway Alaska into Canada. (Drama in the Yukon.)
She Lost Her Wallet With PassPort in the Yukon, Canada... What to Do? We took a cruise ship to Skagway Alaska and then rented a car and drove into Canada. We made a plan to drive as far as time would permit before we needed to have the car back and loaded onto the ship. We drove into the Yukon all the way to Emerald Lake. The plan was to start there and then see all the things on the way back. Unfortunately, my daughter Ashley lost her wallet at the dog encounter. We didn't realize it until we were about to enter back into the states. We had to drive 30 miles back to the dogs and we weren't able to see all the things we wanted but we still had fun and enjoyed our trip. The last stop was Victoria BC. Wow! outstanding! Beautiful!

Grizzly Falls Ziplining Expedition - Skagway, Alaska
Fast, fun, and exhilarating, this approximately 4 hour adventure is sure to excite nature lovers and thrill seekers alike! Get a running start on solid ground and take flight into the treetops of the Alaskan rainforest!
It all starts at your cruise dock when you meet up with your guide. From there, enjoy an entertaining historic tour through downtown Skagway then along 9 miles of stunning coastline. When you arrive at our base in Dyea, you will transfer into our customized unimog—an all-wheel drive vehicle necessary for getting up our rugged mountain road. During your adventurous ride up the mountain, look out at the impressive rainforest and glacially fed waterfalls. Get psyched—you're about to fly over this wild landscape!
At the top of the mountain, you will suit up in gear that meets the highest standards of safety while your highly trained guide tells you what to expect and how to safely navigate the course. You will then be lead to the take off zone, where you'll clip in and fly away! You'll soar through a course of 11 ziplines, the longest measuring 750ft—that's longer than 2 football fields combined! But this is more than just any zip course. Our lines will bring you directly above glacially fed waterfalls, so close you will actually feel the mist as you zoom by! For the more cautious adventurers, rest assured that you can always control your own speed with a brake system. But we double dog dare you to let go and zoom up to 45 miles per hour!
Of course, that's a little too fast to take those perfect pictures of the Alaskan wilderness. That's why we decided that a hardcore unimog and an 11 line zip course over waterfalls just isn't quite enough. So we added 4 state of the art suspension bridges. From these bridges, you'll be able to capture stunning photos of you and your loved ones in the heart of Alaska's wild beauty.
After completing the course, pat yourself on the back, say goodbye to your guides, and enjoy your last ride in the unimog to your bus at the bottom of the mountain. Take advantage of the scenic drive back to Skagway to look over your pictures and joke about who was the bravest zipliner. This is bound to be an E.X.C.U.R.S.I.O.N of a lifetime, one you will surely remember for years to come!
EVER SEE A DOG CATCH A SALMON IN A STREAM? YOU HAVE NOW! - Skagway, Alaska
MAGGIE HAS ALWAYS LOVED FISHING BUT THIS IS A FIRST! SHE ACTUALLY CATCHES A HUGE SALMON IN A STREAM ON HER OWN. AND WE ENJOYED SKAGWAY ALASKA TOO!
If you’ve watched any of our videos fishing in Florida you’ve likely seen Maggie diving in the water after a fish that we caught. You see Maggie spent the first year of her life fending for herself on the banks of a river in our home town. It’s not hard to figure out that she found a way to actually catch fish in that river and maybe stole a few from stringers. When she adopted us she was literally starving but no longer. She loves eating fish, but this is the first time we’ve actually seen her catch a fish, any fish, but a huge salmon with her mouth in a stream.
And there’s lots more in this episode too. We spend quite a bit of time with our friends, Jim and Rhonda who also travel around in a Travato. We go for an awesome hike in Skagway and even take the ferry over from Haines to Skagway. After this little town we only have one more Alaska town left during this epic RV trip to Alaska so we make the most of it.
Thanks for watching! Don’t forget to give us a THUMBS UP and SUBSCRIBE if this is your first time here! We love being connected to you guys and can’t wait to hear what you think of this episode about Skagway and our little fishing pup dog Maggie. Much love from the 3 of us!

The Call of the Wild
The Call of the Wild is a novel by Jack London published in 1903. The story is set in the Yukon during the 1890s Klondike Gold Rush—a period when strong sled dogs were in high demand. The novel's central character is a dog named Buck, a domesticated dog living at a ranch in the Santa Clara valley of California as the story opens. Stolen from his home and sold into the brutal existence of an Alaskan sled dog, he reverts to atavistic traits. Buck is forced to adjust to, and survive, cruel treatments and fight to dominate other dogs in a harsh climate. Eventually he sheds the veneer of civilization, relying on primordial instincts and lessons he learns, to emerge as a leader in the wild.
London lived for most of a year in the Yukon collecting material for the book. The story was serialized in the Saturday Evening Post in the summer of 1903; a month later it was released in book form. The novel’s great popularity and success made a reputation for London. Much of its appeal derives from the simplicity with which London presents the themes in an almost mythical form. As early as 1908 the story was adapted to film and it has since seen several more cinematic adaptations.
