Dyrham Park - Bristol
Dyrham Park , a National Trust property, is set in a beautiful deer park 12 miles east of Bristol. At the foot of a dramatic driveway stands a late 17th century stately home set in 110 hectares (272 acres) of garden and rolling parkland. In addition to exploring the baroque house and garden, visitors can enjoy panoramic views across the countryside towards the Bristol Channel. On display in the house are 17th and 18th century collections of paintings and furniture. A popular highlight is a visit to the Victorian domestic quarters that gives an intriguing insight into life below stairs. When in the grounds see if you can spot the historic herd of fallow deer and then take the children to the play area in the Old Lodge to run off steam. There is a shop and a tea room. You will need a car to visit this attraction.

DYRHAM PARK - GLOUCESTERSHIRE - ENGLAND
Well worth a visit. A very interesting old place.
Dyrham Park, House & Gardens Gloucestershire.
Dyrham Park is a baroque mansion in an ancient deer park near the village of Dyrham in South Gloucestershire, England.
The house is set in 274 acres (1.1 km²) of gardens and parkland. The west front of 1692 was commissioned from the Huguenot architect, Samuel Hauduroy, and the east front of 1704 from William Talman, architect of Chatsworth, by William Blathwayt, who was Secretary at War to William III.
Because of Blathwayt’s royal connections, and his influential uncle, Thomas Povey, Dyrham became a showcase of Dutch decorative arts. The collection includes delftware, paintings and furniture. 18th century additions include furniture by Gillow and Linnell. The interiors have remained little altered since decorated by Blathwayt. The Blathwayt family lived at the house until 1956, when the government acquired it. The National Trust acquired it in 1961.
Dyrham Park in South Gloucestershire has been used in Poldark series three for the backdrop of the Warleggan Town House.
Visiting Dyrham Park | National Trust
Maddie and I absolutely love the National Trust, and Dyrham Park was such a delight! The gardens were beautiful, and there were so many rooms open in the house, it was such a great day out. We were very lucky that the weather held out for the majority of the day, though we didn't see any deer, so I guess we'll be going again soon!

Fallow Deer at Dyrham Park | National Trust Wildlife UK
Dyrham Park's name originates from the Saxon word for deer. An ancient deer park with a herd of almost 200 wild fallow deer it stays true to its roots.
With 270 acres to roam free, a herd of 200 fallow deer can often be spotted at Dyrham Park - munching conkers under the trees in the autumn and nursing their young by the woods in the springtime.
Dyrham Park has been a deer park for centuries; originally called Doerham (the Saxon word for deer) it is still home to these wild animals.

11 October 2018 – 6 January 2019 - English country houses have traditionally been the home to Dutch Golden Age masters. Most of these paintings were acquired in the eighteenth century, the heyday of the English country house. Although over time many owners were forced to sell works to raise funds, there are still many extraordinary paintings to be found in country houses today.

DYRHAM PARK a National Trust property with 270 acres where Fallow Deer roam
DYRHAM PARK house, orangery, stable block and accompanying parish church are Grade I listed, while the park is Grade II listed on the National Register of Historic Parks and Gardens. The first section is of the house, but we move on to the park and gardens. This was in January 2019, so the gardens are as you would expect for this time of year. This video is not 4K because it was taken before we started our channel. Carol and Derek’s video log. The work, the Nation Trust, do is incredible.
