Today me, Joe and Ronan went for three 20 min sessions karting at Elk Motorsport in Newark UK. The video is of the last session were they sent us out with 8 other people, so we went hunting for overtakes rusting in me having a couple of incidents.

Hey guys, not a 'Two-Wheel' video but thought it may be of interest! Recently, myself along with my brother and dad met some of his friends at Kart PFI. Turns out, its the largest karting circuit in the UK. a HUGE track, incredibly wide and nothing like anywhere i've karted before. Decided to take along the gopro and make a video of it, got a good crash and the night lap time does make for great video! Enjoy!
PFI is the UK's largest outdoor karting circuit based in Grantham, Lincolnshire and caters for various corporate events and race meetings throughout Lincolnshire, Newark, Nottingham and the UK. Karts are available to hire for team/corporate events and arrive'n'drive, with full use of the national and international circuit. A bar, cafe/restaurant, shopping and indoor/outdoor viewing areas are also situated on-site.
British, European and World Championships are held at PFI, as well as a club race held once a month by Trent Valley Kart Club who are based at the track.
The circuit was built by Paul Fletcher, who still owns it today. Recently in 2011 an extension was added on to the track including a bridge, making it one of a kind. ➜

How a foodbank works Food is donated
The main way that food is donated is though 'Supermarket Collections'. These collections engage the public at supermarkets where they are met by volunteers who give them a 'foodbank shopping list' and ask them to buy an extra item with their shop, which is then donated to the foodbank. Schools, churches, businesses and individuals also donate non-perishable, in-date food to the foodbank. All food given out by foodbanks is donated.
Food is sorted and stored
Once collected, the food is sorted by volunteers who check it's in date and pack it into boxes ready to be given to people in need.
Frontline professionals identify people in need
Care professionals such as doctors, health visitors, social workers, Citizens Advice Bureau staff, welfare officers, the police and proabation officers amongst others identify people in crisis and issue them with a foodbank voucher.
Clients receive food
Foodbank clients bring their voucher to a foodbank centre where it can be exchanged for three days supply of emergency food. Volunteers meet clients over a cup of tea or free hot meal and are able to signpost people to agencies able to solve the longer-term problem.
Some foodbanks also run a delivery service, which takes emergency foodboxes to clients living in rural areas and those who cannot get to a foodbank.
Newark foodbank is now open on Mondays and Fridays

PF International - Lincolnshire Police/Emergency Blood Bikes Charity Kart Race 2017
This event was an chartiy endurance kart race at the PF International kart circuit on the 13th of July 2017 with special guest superbike champion Chris Walker.
All proceeds from the event were donated to Lincolnshire Blood Bikes and Nottinghamshire Blood Bikes -
Our team (Consisting of Myself, Martin Birks & Mike Eccles) took the victory with only a 4 second gap to spare after 80minutes and 7 pit stops!

Calling All Cars: The 25th Stamp / The Incorrigible Youth / The Big Shot
The radio show Calling All Cars hired LAPD radio dispacher Jesse Rosenquist to be the voice of the dispatcher. Rosenquist was already famous because home radios could tune into early police radio frequencies. As the first police radio dispatcher presented to the public ear, his was the voice that actors went to when called upon for a radio dispatcher role.
The iconic television series Dragnet, with LAPD Detective Joe Friday as the primary character, was the first major media representation of the department. Real LAPD operations inspired Jack Webb to create the series and close cooperation with department officers let him make it as realistic as possible, including authentic police equipment and sound recording on-site at the police station.
Due to Dragnet's popularity, LAPD Chief Parker became, after J. Edgar Hoover, the most well known and respected law enforcement official in the nation. In the 1960s, when the LAPD under Chief Thomas Reddin expanded its community relations division and began efforts to reach out to the African-American community, Dragnet followed suit with more emphasis on internal affairs and community policing than solving crimes, the show's previous mainstay.
Several prominent representations of the LAPD and its officers in television and film include Adam-12, Blue Streak, Blue Thunder, Boomtown, The Closer, Colors, Crash, Columbo, Dark Blue, Die Hard, End of Watch, Heat, Hollywood Homicide, Hunter, Internal Affairs, Jackie Brown, L.A. Confidential, Lakeview Terrace, Law & Order: Los Angeles, Life, Numb3rs, The Shield, Southland, Speed, Street Kings, SWAT, Training Day and the Lethal Weapon, Rush Hour and Terminator film series. The LAPD is also featured in the video games Midnight Club II, Midnight Club: Los Angeles, L.A. Noire and Call of Juarez: The Cartel.
The LAPD has also been the subject of numerous novels. Elizabeth Linington used the department as her backdrop in three different series written under three different names, perhaps the most popular being those novel featuring Det. Lt. Luis Mendoza, who was introduced in the Edgar-nominated Case Pending. Joseph Wambaugh, the son of a Pittsburgh policeman, spent fourteen years in the department, using his background to write novels with authentic fictional depictions of life in the LAPD. Wambaugh also created the Emmy-winning TV anthology series Police Story. Wambaugh was also a major influence on James Ellroy, who wrote several novels about the Department set during the 1940s and 1950s, the most famous of which are probably The Black Dahlia, fictionalizing the LAPD's most famous cold case, and L.A. Confidential, which was made into a film of the same name. Both the novel and the film chronicled mass-murder and corruption inside and outside the force during the Parker era. Critic Roger Ebert indicates that the film's characters (from the 1950s) represent the choices ahead for the LAPD: assisting Hollywood limelight, aggressive policing with relaxed ethics, and a straight arrow approach.

45. Lithium Battery Charging with an Alternator
After a lot of testing and tweaking, I'm finally happy with how my Lithium iron phosphate or LiFePO4 batteries are charging using my narrowboats alternator. Initially, the charge was too harsh so I used a Victron BMS 12/200 to regulate the current and give me the option to disable the charge when I want to.
