Queenstown to Arrowtown Mountainbike Ride
May 2016 we hired two electric mountain bikes from chargeabout bikes in Queenstown New Zealand. We rode from Queenstown to Arrowtown on a gorgeous Autumn day, had lunch and then rode back. On the cycle trails between Queenstown and Arrowtown there are quite a few hills but the bikes make short work of those. You get all the good bits of bike riding with none of the bad bits. It leaves you to focus on the scenery, which is spectacular. The cafe in Arrowtown has a recharge station so you can top-up your bikes while enjoying lunch. Queenstown is simply gorgeous and exploring the region by bike has got to be one of the best options, if you are ever visiting contact chargeabout.co.nz

Meet the new Queenstown Bike Trail
From bike trails to wine trails and everything in between... meet the new 110+ kilometres long Queenstown Bike Trail.
The trail, one of the great rides of the New Zealand Cycleway project, was officially opened by New Zealand Prime Minister, John Key on the 18th October 2012.
The new trail is made up of existing and new trails looping around the Queenstown region. Highlights of the trail include wineries and cafes, lakeside trails, riverside trails, swing bridges and historic bridges, historic buildings, mountain views and picnic spots all with Queenstown and Arrowtown as the hub.
We tagged along with a one of the local bike tour operators on a semi-guided day trip to experience some of the best the new trail has to offer.

New Zealand! South Island Trout fishing and Bike Riding
We spend a day fishing for trout around Queenstown in the South Island of New Zealand. They proved hard to catch and we missed the only bite we had all day. We also ride E-Bikes down the Queenstown trail in Arrowtown to the bungee jumping bridge! We don't jump but we watch a couple people off the bridge!
