UNBELIEVABLE VUG IN CLIFF NEAR BANCROFT (ONTARIO)
Unbelievably nice vug (crystal cavity) found while rock hounding along a cliff face near Bancroft Ontario. It is just loaded with crystals and crystal plates, some the size of my hand.

I hiked up the approach trail to the lookout for some amazing views. Took a blue blaze (Little Pine Path) back and passed a really interesting inukshuk “village”.

Panoramic View Of York River Valley & Bancroft, Eagles Nest, Bancroft
After hiking a cliff called Eagles Nest In Bancroft, Hastings County of Ontario Province, the view opens up a spectacular sight of the York river valley & Bancroft town.
It's lush green as far as sight can go and panoramic view of entire York Valley. I couldn't spot any Eagles however found this gem.

Schustyk Honeymoon Part 1 Eagles Nest
August 2013,
Left the cottage for our honeymoon in New York City and decided to climb at Eagles Nest in Bancroft while passing through to go home and pack.
We climbed the first pitch of Perspective a 5.6 trad climb that starts up a slabby wide crack system to a small squeeze chimney. Then you exit to a treed ledge and go right up a slabby arete with shallow crack systems for protection. The belay ledge had large metolius anchors for lowering and was home to a geocache.
This was a great start to our honeymoon and a good sampling of what was in store for us ahead.

Bancroft man trips and falls 15 feet down the Eagle's Nest stopped only by a few trees on a ledge. Without the ledge it would have been a very long plunge to the rocky ground below

The GMHL held an exhibition game at North Hastings Community Centre to preview the competition coming to Bancroft. In front of a packed arena, the town of Bancroft showed their support.
