Best Time To Visit in Eaglenest Wildlife Sanctuary ( Arunachal Pradesh.)
Summer: March and April are the best months to see birds at Eaglenest. This is when the rhododendrons are in full bloom.
Winter: Mid-November to February is also a good time to visit, if you can brave the chilly temperatures at night. Due to the abundance of birds at Eaglenest, bird activity is still quite high.
The sanctuary is not open to the public during the monsoon season, from June to September.
Arunachal Pradesh trip from Rupa valley to MONASTERY, CONSECRATED BY HH THE 14th DALAI LAMA | রূপা
Located 15 kilometres from Rupa village in West Kameng District, the Sang-Ngag Choekar Dargyeling Monastery is built on a promontory which offers spectacular 270 degree views of the surrounding Eastern Himalayan valleys. More commonly known as Chillipam Gompa, the secluded sanctuary is adorned with some of the region’s most magnificent Buddhist art.
It was an afternoon in late April and staccatos of fat raindrops plunked on our windscreen as we wound our way up to the sacred citadel. But as is possible in every alpine setting, a sudden shift in the wind dispersed the dark canopy and a window of fresh blue sky opened over us.
Sensing the sunny spell would not last too long, we made our way up to the entrance and craned our necks to gaze at the eight auspicious signs of Tibetan Buddhism which graced the plafond.
Walking clockwise to our right, we then followed another stairway up to the viewing platform where the sun continued to play hide and seek with puffs of shredded cloud.

Beautiful. Remote. Wild. Such was the awe-inspiring view that unfolded before us.
Yet words cannot justly convey the bombastic grandeur of this place. One really must go and experience it!

The second densest forest cover in India - Yingkiong, Arunachal Pradesh
Aerial shots of the amazing and massive rain forest cover of Yingkiong, in Arunachal Pradesh. What a canopy of rain forest trees!
This incredible green cover may be a result of the heavy rainfall that strikes every year. Arunachal Pradesh has the 2nd largest forest cover in India and the state also has the largest primary forest cover. Most of Arunachal Pradesh is covered by the Himalayas and its forests and valleys contain a large number of national parks and wildlife sanctuaries with the highest diversity of mammals in india.
Notoriously difficult to navigate due to its massive expansion, these forests are a trekker's delight.
Yinkiong is the headquarter of the Upper Siang district, gets its name from River Siang that flows besides this district. This region is known for its diverse and colourful ethnicity where people live with love and celebrate festivals with zeal.
Ponung, Roja and Broh are some of the famous dance forms of the region which has been inhabited mainly by four tribes, Adi, Khamba, Mishmis and Memba. Adventure lovers come here to indulge in hiking, trekking, mountaineering, angling, fishing, rafting, camping and everything else that enlivens their soul. Besides the culture, and a lively atmosphere, the place is known for its spectacular panorama, where there are dense forests and millions of birds with vibrant feathers chirping the excellent melodies and mumbling of rivers flowing here and there.
