Bald Eagle Float Tour with Sunwolf in Squamish British Columbia Canada
Viewing bald eagles on a float tour with Sunwolf near Squamish, just a short drive from Vancouver and Whistler, BC.
Soon, the silence is broken by the swoosh of a bald eagles' wings as it settles to rest in the trees along the bank. The enormous eagle's beak rips apart a half-eaten salmon that's clutched in the raptor's razor-sharp talons.
It's the spawning salmon that bring thousands of bald eagles here. They return every winter to this spot just outside of the small community of Brackendale, British Columbia to gorge on salmon from the glacial-fed Squamish and Cheakamus rivers.
Today, Brackendale is rapidly becoming known as one of the best places in the world to spot bald eagles. It's just outside the town of Squamish, British Columbia however still within the Squamish district, and close to the stunning Sea to Sky Highway between Vancouver and Whistler.

Cinematic video and the Squamish Eagle Run Park
A little bit of cinematic video.
Some footage from Squamish B.C. I was at a park known for hundreds of eagles that fish along the river from November to January.
At the spot I was at I counted 15 eagles and you know there were more there too but you couldn't see them.
Now for a little bit of hiking on some of the trails they have here.

The Eagles of Squamish and Brackendale BC canada
On British Columbia's coast between Vancouver and Whistler, Brackendale and Squamish are neighbouring towns where the eagles return each year around January to feast on salmon. If you're driving on the Sea to Sky Hwy it's worth it to stop and take a look during that time of year. The place you see with all the people in the video is located just off Government Rd.
I took these photos years ago, I've lost the originals and only had the processed images left which turned out to be over compressed. It was one day I really wished I had a better quality camera.
