The 13th hole at Notts Golf Club is a demanding par 3 which stretches to over 240 yards in length from the championship tees. Played from a significantly raised tee, this amazing hole features banks of yellow gorse running down both sides of the hole, and a reasonably well protected green. While the old adage that golfers “drive for show and putt for dough” rings true from time to time; this one’s all about the tee shot. Hit a solid one and a par is a realistic score. If you miss though, this hole can be punishing.

The Pot & Glass In Eaglescliffe Village - Wedding Reception Disco By County Durham Wedding DJ
County Durham Wedding DJ covers the whole of the North East of England (not just County Durham, just in case you were wondering). In this instance, we were in Teesside a neighbouring county to our base and we were booked by Lisa & Kevin for their wedding reception at The Pot & Glass in Eaglescliffe Village in Stockton-on-Tees.
The venue holds larger events, like weddings, in their marquee and that's what the couple hired for their big day. It also meant that we were able to show off our Mood Lighting and create a splash of colour throughout the marquee. You can see from the picture at the start of the video what the marquee looked like during the day and how it was transformed with the Mood Lighting for the evening celebrations.
If you look at the picture at the beginning of the recording (video below), you'll also see the Christmas tree in the background as the couple picked a date in late December to get married. The newlyweds (pictured right) selected a song that charted well and was used in the John Lewis adverts over the 2012 fesitive period: Gabrielle Aplin - Power of Love
As the wedding took place just a few days before the arrival of Santa, the couple selected a small number of Christmas songs and a wide selection of other tunes that they asked us to play during the party.
