The Best Boosted Board Ride on East Bay Bike Path in Providence, Rhode Island
Boosted Board Ride along East Bay Bike Path between Watchemoket Cove and Providence River. I copied and pasted some of the texts from the website below.
If you are traveling to Providence, Rhode Island with your Boosted Board, you must take a ride along East Bay Bike Path. The bike path is so smooth it feels like you are gliding on air. Granted, there are many perpendicular cracks along the path and some wide enough to swallow the wheels; nonetheless, the beautiful scenery will make you forget all the bike path imperfections. The path is designed to challenge your skills with sharp 90 degree turns and switchback road then over a beautiful bridge with covered expansion joints was a welcome surprise for a skateboard rider. I wish I had another battery with me, so I can continue the ride but all good things must come to an end at some point. I only had enough juice to get to the other side of this long stretch of the bike path. I started my ride from the state house capital building.
BTW, I couldn't find an outlet or even a coffee shop to stop by to charge the battery.
Link for more info on E Bay Bike Path:
The path follows the former Providence and Bristol Railroad and is mostly flat, with the exception of a large hill as the path switches from an alignment alongside Veterans Memorial Parkway in East Providence to the former rail right-of-way.
From India Point Park, you begin your ride on the Washington Bridge, off Gano Street and behind the Wyndham Garden hotel. The bridge is accessible via a new switchback path that begins in the park and loops around the hotel. There also is a ramp system and staircase adjacent to the hotel parking lot. This part of the bike path
The path enters East Providence along First Street before going off-road alongside Veterans Memorial Parkway. A split-rail fence and grassy area separate you from the roadway with a fairly steep incline.
In a short distance, you'll pass two parking lots which are popular starting points for riding the path.
After the second lot, get ready for a steep downhill toward the waterfront and the former rail right-of-way. This is one of the most scenic sections of the bikeway, with the path running along a causeway with the Providence River at right and small coves on the left. Strong headwinds are possible along this segment of the path.

Three Bicycle Trails ~ Cape Cod Massachusetts
We had a blast riding our Mountain Bikes on our vacation down at Cape Cod.
We explored three different Bike Trails.
September 20, 2016 we rode our bikes on the Old Colony Rail Trail and the CCRT - Cape Cod Rail Trail starting in Harwich down to Nickerson State Park in Brewster. It poured on us. We do not have rain gear for our bikes. We made the best of it. The trails were paved in a wooded area. We saw Cranberry bogs and ponds..it was a great ride. Nickerson State Park had some huge hills to ride up and down. It was difficult for me,, I had to walk my bike up a few hills. This was a 21 mile bike ride,, the longest one I have done since getting my Mountain Bike Mid June 2016.
September 22, 2016 we rode our bikes on the Province Lands Bicycle Trail. We parked at the Provincetown Visitor Center. I absolutely loved this Bike Trail. You ride on a paved trail through the Sand Dunes.. WOW what a fun and beautiful bike ride. We rode out to Herring Cove, Race Point and Bennett Pond. It is marked as a Challenging Bike Path,, and it was. We rode 12 miles.
September 23, 2016 we rode our bikes on the Head of the Meadows Bicycle Trail. The trails are paved but very bumpy. It was a pretty ride but short.. only 2 miles out and 2 miles back.
We had a great time biking on Cape Cod.

Chesapeake Bike Tour
800-272-4141. Explore the Chesapeake Bay region of Maryland by bike. Seafood, warm breezes, eagles and miles of friendly terrain. We begin and end our bike touring season here due tot he friendly climate. Early April, when you are just getting your biking legs, this is the place to be. A tad warmer than the interior of the eastern seaboard and some of the flattest empty roads you will find. We will cruise through Easton, and Oxford Maryland, sampling local seafood, exploring quirky shops and spinning the miles. Keep your eyes peeled for Eagles as we head through the Black Water National Wildlife Refuge.

SOUTHERN TIER BIKE ROUTE - The Best Winter Cycling Route in the United States
”What is the best place to go bicycle touring in the United States during the winter?”
Southern Tier ►
Winter Cycling ►
That’s a good question, because for much of the United States, winter means cold weather, rain, ice and even snow. And while it’s possible to go bicycle touring in cold weather winter conditions, riding through the snow is probably not what George is asking about.
What I assume George is asking, is, where in the United States is it best to conduct a long-distance bicycle tour… in warm or relatively warm weather.
The answer is, there is probably no other long-distance bike touring route more popular for winter cycling than the Adventure Cycling Association’s Southern Tier bike route, which traverses more than 3,000 miles across the southern portion of the United States from San Diego, California is the west - to St. Augustine, Florida in the east.
If you were to start in California, you’d pedal east away from San Diego and quickly find yourself riding through dry, sparsely populated deserts where every town will be a welcome sight. Texas dominates the Southern Tier bike route, taking up an entire third of the mileage. Louisiana is like no other state in the United States due to its history, language, culture, and food. Mississippi offers great rural riding all the way into Alabama, where the route crosses a bridge over to and island. From there it's a ferry ride across the bay to Gulf Shores and some of the whitest beaches in the world. Then finally, the route finishes in scenic Florida.
Because of it’s location in the southern part of the country, The Southern Tier Bicycle Route is the most popular long-distance bike route in the United States… and it’s also the shortest cross-country bicycle route in the nation. But ever if you decide to travel this famous bike tour during the winter months, you need to be prepared for both hot and cool weather. Temperatures can be extreme during the day, and drop down to sub-freezing temperatures at night. So you need to be prepared for a little bit of everything.
For more information on the Southern Tier bike route and to learn more about winter cycling, be sure to check out the links below this video. And if you have a question you’d like me to answer in a future video, leave a comment below.

Views from the Trestle Trail Greenway Bike Path ~ Rhode Island ~ Fall Foliage
Saturday morning (10/28/17) we headed down to Rhode Island to ride the Trestle Trail Greenway Bike Path. It started out very cold at 39* but warmed up to just about 60*.
This was our 3rd time riding our bikes here. Its such a beautiful place. I love riding over the Trestle Bridges, seeing the Old Mills and different water ways.
This year there isn't a lot of foliage due to heavy rains and winds. We were happy to see some leaves changing colors on this day.

This video summarizes the first 5 Days of my solo bicycle trip around Lake Erie. All of the clips in the video were filmed between Saturday July 27 and Wedneday July 31, 2019. For 5 days I followed along the Lake Erie Shoreline including Grand Island, Buffalo, Irving, Dunkirk, Ashtabula, Geneva-On-The-Lake, Cleveland, and Lorain. When I reached Sandusky, OH, I caught a ferry to Pelee Island, ON.
