Fastest Train In The World- Shanghai to Beijing CHINA-Travel Man Dan
In this episode of Travel Man Dan I shove off from Shanghai and head to Beijing!
The TV show I am working on called KunLun is ready for me to start filming my scenes. But instead of using the Travel Man Dan magic globe, or flying I show you my adventure from the Shanghai train terminal to the Beijing Terminal on the Worlds Fastest Train!!
This video was shot to help people and to give them a glimpse of how easy, cheap, convenient and fun it is to travel from Shanghai to Beijing by train! Shanghai to Beijing is an awesome way to travel by train. Because not only is this the World's Fastest Passenger Train, a 350 km/h (217 mph) high-speed train taking as little as 4 hours 28 minutes, but its a great experience.
This episode was so much fun to film! I love train rides and the experience is a lot of fun as you'll see step by step of how to plan your trip from SH to BJ- or vice versa.
In this episode you'll see how I exit the city subway to the stop where you wanna buy and board the high speed train to BJ. It can be confusing at first but you'll see in my adventure that its not that difficult and plenty of people are there to assist you if you need help. Plus I make a pit stop at the old faithful coffee stop Starbucks, so need need to worry if you need a hot cup of Joe-they got you covered. The Chinese people are very accommodating and extremely friendly when helping travelers-Thank you China!
Shanghai will always be a part of my life, as once you live in an city it becomes very familiar and always brings a smile to my face when I think of the past and how much fun I had living here! I will miss Shanghai but I know Ill always return and I am looking forward to new adventures in Beijing!

Beijing China - Part one of our trip to South Africa
We had a few days to spend in Beijing before we leave for SA. Enjoyed some of the sights and flavors. We left the north of China, a city called Daqing where it is about -20 during the day. But we have central heating there. Made it to BJ and there is no heating anywhere. It's pretty cold, even inside.

New Years Eve 2019. Ski Trip to Beijing at the Great Wall of China!
Jesse first gives a quick overview of what to expect when entering and boarding at train at most high speed railway station before we kick off to Beijing. Our train ride will top at 300/kmh and last about 2.5 hours.
Once in Beijing we to go to the famous Tiananmen Square. This is the heart and center of all things China government. Once pass security and the long walk to the Forbidden City Gates we take a very quick tour outside the paid entrance and some freezing cold Selfies.
Our purpose and highlight of this trip is skiing in the Great Wall of China. It is Julia's first time skiing and she is doing pretty good. On the train to BJ Julia watched many YouTube How to videos on skiing to get herself all ready for the big slopes of China.
We stayed at very nice hotel just about 15 minutes away from the slopes. Once done with an evening of skiing and hot showers, we both agreed to celebrate staying in where it's warm.
Next day, January 1st, we headed back to BJ and visited Summer Palace in Beijing, where we rode bicycles on ice and saw the first sunset of the year.
It was a great way to spend New Years Eve.

총 4명이서 674위안 (우리나라 돈 11만3천원) 먹었습니다!
여기엔 룸서비스 포함이 되어있고요
고기도 5인분? 정도 먹었고
그 외 야채/새우완자/버섯/ 등등 먹었어요!
하이디라오 훠궈집은 한국에도 있는데요!
비교했을 때 베이징이 훨씬 자극적이고 향신료 향이 강력했어요!
그리고 그 외 메뉴가 다양했습니다
(돼지 뇌..라던가..개구리..등등)

중국은 현금/카드보단 위쳇페이를 많이 사용해서
친구 덕에 택시 이용이 엄청 편리했어요!
큰 매장이나 브랜드몰은 카드 사용이 편리하지만
그 외 작은 매장들은
위쳇페이 아니면 안 받아주는 곳이 많더라고요..
택시도 마찬가지여서 택시보단 중국 우버'디디추싱'을 이용했어요!
중국 땅이 정말 엄청 넓어서 어딜 가던 걸어서 30분 이상이고...
무조건 대중교통을 이용하셔야 합니다ㅜ_ㅜ
위쳇페이 등록하고 가면 좋을듯해요!
택시요금도 그리 비싼 편이 아니었어요!!!!

이게 제일 난감했었는데요 당일 3시 입실이라
3시까지 기다리고 있는데
갑자기 3시에 한국인이라 방을 줄 수가 없다 라며
환불해줄 테니 알아서 다른 곳으로 가라 하시는 거예요!!!!!!
그래서 너무 당황..어이.. 한국 에어비앤비에 전화해 여차여차 설명하고 다른 방을 알아봤지만
다른 에어비앤비 방들도 한국인은 못 받아준다 통보..
정확한 이유는 모르지만 국경절 때문일 거라고 하더라고요..
다들 조심하는 눈치라며 이것도 확실하진 않고
여튼 그냥 '외국인이라서' 취소당했습니다 ㅠㅠㅠㅠ..
부랴부랴 호텔 알아봤는데
너무 터무니없게 높은 가격을 부르고 멘붕의 시간을 보냈는데
상우오빠 덕분에 겨우 방을 얻어 편하게 지냈어요ㅜ_ㅜ
