►Mexico City street food guide:
I met up with 5 Mexican Guys ( and they just started their channel since I met them, so go check them out!) to go on an ultimate Mexican street food tour of Mexico City. It was one of the greatest food days I had in Mexico, and we tasted so many incredible dishes.
La Esquina del Chilaquil - For breakfast in La Condesa, there’s no better place to check out than La Esquina del Chilaquil, their tortas are delicious.
Price - 40 MXN ($2.14) each
Mercado de San Juan - I wanted to quickly check out this market, but it wasn’t all that busy when we went - there wasn’t too much going on. So we had a quick scorpion and then continued on to the ultimate street food market.
Scorpion - 160 MXN ($8.54) for 4
Mercado de La Merced - Mexico City is packed with street food, but if you want a food experience that’s busy, in your face, and always exciting and delicious, Mercado de la Merced is one of the greatest places to start. You’ll encounter massive amounts of street food that will blow your mind with how delicious they are. Here are the things we ate at the market:
Quesadilla - 57 MXN ($3.04) for 3
Fries tacos - 20 MXN ($1.07) each
Pancita - 40 MXN ($2.14) per bowl
Pambazo
Mamey - 15 MXN ($0.80)
Mango - 15 MXN ($0.80)
Churrería El Moro - This wasn’t street food, but we needed a little afternoon break, and there’s no better spot in Mexico City for churros than Churrería El Moro.
Total price - 439 MXN ($23.44) for all
Esquites - 20 MXN ($1.07) - After walking around El Zocalo - the center of Mexico City, we then had a corn snack os esquites where they add corn, mayo, cheese, and chili salsas to a cup. It’s pretty tasty.
Loncheria La Rambla - Next we tried a Mexican style turkey sandwich - it was alright, but not the best food of the day.
Torta de pavo - 35 MXN ($1.87) each
Taquería Los Cocuyos - And finally to end this Mexico City street food tour with 5 Mexican Guys, we headed to Taquería Los Cocuyos, a legendary taco stall in the heart of the center of the city. The tacos are amazing, and it was the perfect was to end this day of incredible Mexican food.
Tacos de cabeza - 17 MXN ($0.91) each
Again, thank you to Moises and 5 Mexican Guys for reaching out! Check them out here:

Everything You Should Eat In Mexico City
Tortas, Tamales, Gorditas, Taco Al Pastor, Quesadilla, Sope, Tostada, oh my lord! The food is incredible, it is dirt cheap and you have to go try it. Recently Mike and I were sent to Mexico City to be part of an award show and I decided to go 5 days early so I could try everything that Mexico had to offer. I don't remember the names of everything but the looks are what count.

Eating Breakfast in Mexico City - With LOCAL MEXICAN ????????????
Mexican breakfast with local Mexican friend is the best! Today we went to Plaza de Santo Domingo to have Chilaquiles and Pan Dulce as breakfast.
__
/// M E N T I O N E D :
⌲ Plaza de Santo Domingo : very nice square which is also very close to the city centre. There are plenty of big colonial buildings, churches and places to shop and eat. This is our most favorite square in CDMX as it's not too touristy, yet beautiful
⌲ Chilaquiles : Corn tortillas cut in quarters and lightly fried are the basis of the dish. Green or red salsa or mole is poured over the crisp tortilla triangles. As with many Mexican dishes, regional and family variations are quite common. Usually, chilaquiles are eaten at breakfast or brunch. ( Source : Wikipedia )
⌲ Pan Dulce : (English: sweet bread) is the name for a variety of Mexican pastries. The creation of sweet bread was influenced by the French and Spaniards ( Source : Wikipedia )

Ultimate Mexico City Tacos and Mezcal! The Curious Mexican - Drink Up & Eat Up Food Tour
We're in Mexico City, which is known for its great tacos and their vibrant culinary scene in general. During our last visit we had the opportunity to take the food tour Drink up & Eat up with The Curious Mexican.
She knows the best places to eat in Mexico City, and writes a blog on everything that's great about Mexico City. In this tour we had the opportunity to eat different type of tacos: tacos árabes, al pastor, volcanes, suadero and more they were all so delicious. We also tried some street corn and drank some Mezcal directly from Oaxaca.
If you're in Mexico City , book one of her many tours, you'll be glad that you did!

So we are up for this challenge as part of our Mexico Travel 2020 Vlog. We think. ???? We definitely got into some of those delicious Mexico Tacos as part of our Mexico City street food tour.

Great to be back in Mexico City, Mexico. This place has some of the best street food tacos in the world. We've missed CDMX. So glad you can join us as we take you on the ultimate guide to some of the tastiest Mexican street food here in Mexico City while sticking to a strict budget of $10, as part of our Mexico travel vlog.
Here are the places we at in this video: The prices and ratings are listed in the video.
La Esquina del Chilaquil - They are known for their chilaquiles tortas. I would say famously known. Started by the current two owners grandmother. The lines can get really long. We got there at a very good time and happen to be first in line. They mentioned that a fellow Youtuber by the name of Mark Wiens was there.
Mercado de San Juan - Popular food market with all kinds of gourmet cuisine and exotic cuisine. This market speaks for itself. Definitely check it out in the video and you'll see what I mean.
La Merced Market - This is the biggest Street Market in all of Mexico City. It would literally take you all day maybe two just to explore this market. They have all things from food stations to produce sections to gift, clothing, and more.
Taqueria El Gran Albanico - The carnitas at this place was amazing. It was a VERY busy spot here in Mexico City. The braised pork taco was definitely a highlight. Never had a taco in which the entire rib was left in the taco. It made the taco meat so tender and flavorful and just fell right off the bone.
El Muro - This is the original Churro house in Mexico City. Believe it was started in the early 1903's and has been going ever since. It was interesting to see the process of how they make the churros from scratch and the highlight is definitely the chocolate dipping sauce.
El Pescadito de Sonora - El Pescadito is highly known for it's Mexican seafood tacos. Their highlight for me was the pepper stuffed with marlin and breaded to a nice crisp, and topped with crispy shrimp. It's called the ta-cototo is this taco will make you SLAP YO MAMA! ( Not literally of course) ???? This by far was the best seafood taco we've ever had.
Tortas Al Fuego - Known for their tacos al pastor. This place is open 24 hours and they Al Pastor tacos along with the many different sauces will bring you to tears. Especially, if you put too much of the onions mixed with habanero peppers. ???? LOL It's absolutely delicious and just watching the chef prepare the tacos is quite amazing.

Welcome to the best tacos in the world - the ultimate guide to Mexican street food tacos in Mexico City!
I met up with Lalo from La Ruta de la Garnacha ( he’s from Mexico City, he makes videos about street food as well. And he took me to his favorite tacos in all of Mexico City. We each ate the most tacos in one single day that we’d ever eaten in our lives, and it was the greatest taco day of my life!
Here are all the places we ate in this video:
Tacos Joven - They are known for their tacos de canasta, which are basket tacos, famous in Mexico City. They are served from a basket, and they keep hot the entire day as they are served. The highlight here was the chicharrón taco with chicharrón salsa.
Price - 13 MXN ($0.70) per taco
Taqueria El Abanico - This is Lalo’s favorite restaurant in Mexico City for carnitas, the wildly popular braised pork taco. The entire rib in my taco was the highlight, so tender and flavorful.
Price - 20 MXN ($1.08) per taco
El Pescadito de Sonora - Originating from Hermosillo in Sonora, El Pescadito serves Mexican seafood tacos, especially shrimp or marlin tacos. Their tacototo is a taco that will change your life. This was as good as food gets for me.
Price - 35 MXN ($1.89) per taco
Tacos Charly - When it comes to Mexican street food, suadero is one of the greatest, a massive pan of slow braising beef in its juices. When you order your tacos, they slice up the meat, dip your tortilla in the fat, and you eat it with onions, cilantro, and salsa - pure meat heaven.
Price - 13 MXN ($0.70) per taco
Taqueria Los Güeros - Tacos de tripa, intestines, are very popular in Mexico City as well. They may not be the most pretty tacos, but they are immensely flavorful and have all sorts of different textures going on in your mouth.
Price - 13 MXN ($0.70) per taco
Tacos Los Juanes - This is a great Mexican street food restaurant in Mexico City that serves all sorts of different tacos. We came for the tacos de cabeza and tacos de lengua, both of which were fantastic
Price - 10 MXN ($0.54) per taco
El Vilsito - For Mexican street food in Mexico City, the ultimate taco, the most loved by everyone is no doubt, Al Pastor. Cooked in the vertical spit, a technique brought over from Lebanese immigrants, Al Pastor is usually made with marinated pork that’s juicy and flavorful it might make you weep tears of joy. Lalo and I ordered, not just your ordinary tacos de al pastor, but the King of all tacos, the Gringa!
Price - 50 MXN ($2.70) each
Thanks again to Lalo from La Ruta de la Garnacha:
This was the greatest taco day of my life. Thank you for watching!

6 Foods You MUST EAT in Mexico City ????????Yummy CDMX Street Food ????
6 Foods You MUST Eat in Mexico City / Yummy CDMX Street Food
In today's Mexico City travel vlog, I tell you the 6 foods you must eat in Mexico City. You must try Al Pastor Tacos, Churros, Mango con Chile y Limon, Nopales, Chilaquiles, and Pambazos.
In my opinion these are the best street food to eat and some of the best Mexican food. Here are the foods I recommend:
Al Pastor Tacos
Im sure you’ve had tacos before but one of the most traditional Mexican styles is: Taco Al Pastor. The pork is marinated for days and then spit-roasted, shawarma style. Add some pineapple, onion, cilantro, chili and some lime juice and you have a favor explosion in your mouth! They also make a chicken version of Al Pastor if pork isn’t your thing.
Churros
While this may not have originated in Mexico — Mexican Churros are so freaking yummy, I had to include them on this list. Churros are deep fried and dipped in sugar and cinnamon. You can add a dipping sauce like chocolate, caramel or condensed milk — to make them even more yummy!
Mango con Chile y Limon (Mango with chili powder and lime)
You’ll find a lot of street vendors selling Mango with a red seasoning on top. Stop and try!! While you might not think that mango, chili powder and lime would go good together, they do! Do not to skip a single ingredient as their flavors blend in perfect harmony.
Nopales (cactus)
While these aren’t as delicious as the other items on this list…..I think you should probably still try this traditional Mexican dish. Nopales are cactus leaves. The cactus leaves contain a lot of water and are also very rich in vitamins and minerals. They are usually cooked and then used in salsas and sometimes used to make a low calorie tortilla alternative. I tried them plain and while they aren’t my favorite - they weren’t too terrible. I’d give them a try and see how you like them.
Chilaquiles
Next on the list is the most iconic breakfast you can get in Mexico City: Chilaquiles. Chilaquiles are warm corn tortilla chips smothered in eggs, sauce, and cheese. This is one of my favorite dishes!
Pambazos
Pambazos are sandwiches made with potatoes and chorizo that are dipped in red pepper sauce and then fried. I know, I know…that sounds a bit odd but I promise you they are delicious! These have become my most favorite lunch dish here in Mexico City — even over al pastor tacos!!! By the way, the Pambazo I ate in this video was only 20 pesos or $1!!! There is cheap food in Mexico City.
Those are my recommendations. Most of the are Mexico City street food items that you can find at most street food vendor areas. Trying Mexico City street food should be on every list things to do in Mexico City, especially if you enjoy food travel.

BACK TO MEXICO CITY LIKE A LOCAL!!! | (229 | Mexico Travel Vlog)
20 December 2018 - Orizaba to Mexico City
Day 7 - VLOG 229
Today we make our way back to Mexico City! I got lucky catching a lift to Zoapan the first time round but this time I have to catch public transport 230km back to Mexico City!
The journey starts off with a quick 10min lift from Zoapan to the small village of Tlachichuca. From there was a 2 hour bus ride to Puebla city where we have a late lunch, then another 2hour bus ride back to Mexico City. ????????
Surprisingly public transport is not as dangerous as its all made out to be and actually quite comfortable. I’ve been on plenty of buses around the city and there’s police every corner you turn. Of course there’s always being in the wrong place at the wrong time and you only hear about the bad stories, but those shouldn’t stop you from exploring. ????????♂️????????♀️
It was the first day I actually felt like I was travelling on my own and it was fun trying to survive the day and travel across the country with minimal Spanish. YO QUIERO UN BOLETO EN AUTOBUS!! MAS BARATO!!
But one things for sure, it’s great to be back down to 2200m and the warmer sun! ☀️

STREET FOOD IN MEXICO CITY: Tamales, Tacos and Tortas ... Oh, my!
There is plenty of fine dining in Mexico City, but you can't truly say you've experienced the local cuisine until you sample the street food. In fact, we mostly ate street food during our three weeks in CDMX.
It is no stretch of the imagination to call street food a form of art. Tacos, tortas, tamales, quesadillas, fresh juices, and more are never more than a few steps away. We love the food in Ciudad de Mexico and can't wait to head back and eat some more!

“Let’s go” has pretty much been our life’s motto since we met nearly 25 years ago. We met in New York, moved to San Diego together, and married in Lake Tahoe – all within five months. When you know, you know – you know what we mean?
Now, after raising two adventure-seeking boys, we are ready to get out and explore some more. Our children have begun their lives and now it’s time to begin the second-half of ours.
We wanted a challenge and something fun, so we are starting an adventure of a lifetime. We’re calling it #60×60. Our plan is to travel to 60 countries by the time Kim turns 60 (that’s in 6 years by the way).

Tulum, Quintana Roo, Mexico:
My wife Ying and I, and our baby Micah, traveled to Mexico with my friend Carlos and his family. I met Carlos many years ago in University in Phoenix, Arizona, and he’s originally from Sonora, in Northern Mexico. Throughout University, Carlos and I would eat Mexican food non-stop, and we dreamed of traveling in Mexico to experience more. Finally we made this trip happen!
We actually flew into Cancun, and then immediately drove down to Playa Del Carmen where we based ourselves. On our first day we decided to take a day trip to Tulum, a small town on the Riviera Maya coast, and one of the official historical port cities of the Maya.
Taquería Honorio - First things first, we started off with some breakfast tacos at a well known Mexican street food spot in Tulum. I had a mix of four different types of tacos, all of which were extraordinary, but probably the best was the lechon, the roast suckling pig. This is a must eat tacos restaurant when you’re in Tulum.
Price for my plate - 64 MXN ($3.45)
Ruins of Tulum - 70 MXN ($3.77) - One of the main attractions in Tulum are the ancient Mayan ruins. It’s a beautiful place, and what makes it so incredible are not only the ruins, but the fact that they are right up along the gorgeous turquoise Caribbean coast. It was great to walk around, even though it was packed with visitors.
Playa Paraiso - Next we drove over to Playa Paraiso, just down the beach from the Ruins of Tulum, which crystal sparkling water.
Chamico’s - By lunchtime we were all very hungry, so we drove over to a place called Chamico’s a spot I had searched out on Google maps. Just from the photos it looked like a place I needed to go, from the relaxing atmosphere to the amazing fresh seafood. It was just as good as I had imagined. The restaurant was right along the beach, breezy, and the Mexican food was amazing. We had a few plates of ceviche, fried fish, and a shrimp cocktail.
Total price (for 4) - 1,180 MXN ($63.53)
Tulum, Mexico, is a true beach paradise, and it’s an amazing place to visit in Mexico. Thank you for watching!
