Outside Uwajima Station on the Japanese island of Shikoku, we ran into these likely lads...
Takamatsu - Ausflug zum Kotohira Schrein
Bevor wir den Ritsurin Park in Takamatsu besuchen würden, stand zunächst ein Ausflug in die nahegelegene Stadt Kotohira an, um dort einen Schrein zu besuchen.
Um diesen zu erreichen, muss man einen Pfad mit 785 Treppenstufen zurücklegen. Dann hat man den Hauptschrein erreicht. Um bis ganz zur Spitze zu gelangen, wo sich ein kleiner Nebenschrein befindet, mussten wir noch weitere 583 Treppen hinaufsteigen.

On the day we visited the Ritsurin Park in Takamatsu, before going there, we went to the small city of Kotohira to visit a shrine there. To reach it, you have to climb up 785 steps and 583 in addition, if you want to reach the small shrine near the top of the hill.
