【散歩】Funabashi, Japan【Vlog】

Funabashi is located in northwestern Chiba Prefecture and makes up one part of the Shimōsa Plateau. The city sits 20–30 meters above sea level, and is relatively flat. Funabashi is crossed by the Tone River, and the small Ebi River is located entirely within city limits. Funabashi formerly had wide, shallow beaches, but much of the coast has been industrialized and transformed by reclaimed land.

Relaxing Japan River Sounds for Relaxation (free to use: creative commons)～癒し系【自然音川の音】～

We decided to try recording a river near our home here in Funabashi City, Japan. The camera is nothing too special, a Canon Powershot SX-710 HS, but I feel that it t lest captured the aura and beauty of the filming location.

The more exact location is Takanecho, Funabashi, Chiba, in the southwestern corner of the area. There is a natural area in this place where farming is not done so much, and it extends a good distance all the way to the largest river in the region, Ebi River.

NOTE: One of the issues⁠ with this particular recording—which we realized only after having recorded⁠—is the low rumbling sounds which can be heard, especially when listening with headphones, in the background. There is a fairy large and very busy road nearby with a bridge that passes directly over the river in the video, and the walls on either side of the river allow for great sound conductivity. Sorry about that!

In the future, if we do more of these videos⁠—there are after all many great views and sounds here in Japan⁠—we will film in areas without distracting noises. This being said, we do hope that you may still find value in this video here. Thanks for watching!

船橋の散歩 Funabashi walk

船橋駅周辺の散歩の様子を動画に収めました。
散歩は京成船橋駅の前から始まります。
まず、駅前の多くの人で賑わうメインストリートを歩きます。
その後、仲通り商店会の細い道へ入っていきます。
この細く続く商店街は船橋の昔の面影が残るエリアです。
商店街を出て歩いていると市内を流れる海老川があります。
船橋は文豪の太宰治が上京後の一時期を過ごした街だそうです。
もとは漁師町だった船橋。
戦後の高度成長期とともに市内には団地などが数多く建設され、東京のベットタウン化が進みます。
またレジャータウンとしの様相も強まり、船橋ヘルスセンターやオートレース場、そして競馬場などの娯楽施設も集まりました。
その結果、静かな漁師町だった船橋に多種多様な属性を持つ人々が集まったのです。
そんな街の歴史に思いを馳せながらのんびりと歩き続け、ビビットスクエアへたどり着きます。
そこで小休止した後、海老川水門の橋を渡ります。
そこからは夕日に染まる漁港を眺めることが出来ました。
その後、船橋駅方面へ進路をとり、駅近くの１００円ショップダイソー「ギガ船橋店」に立ち寄った後、京成船橋駅へ戻りました。

I recorded a video of a walk around Funabashi Station.The walk begins in front of Keisei Funabashi Station.First, walk along the main street, crowded with people in front of the station.
After that, I enter the narrow street of Nakadori Store Association.This narrow shopping street is an area where the old features of Funabashi remain.When I walk out of the shopping street, I went to the Ebi River. flowing through the city.Funabashi is a town where great writer Osamu Dazai spent some time after going to Tokyo.Funabashi was a fisherman town.With the post-war high-growth period, a number of housing complexes have been built in the city, and businessmen in Tokyo have come to live.In addition, Funabashi Health Center, Auto Racing Track, and Racetrack were created.As a result, diverse people gathered in Funabashi, a quiet fisherman town.I kept walking slowly, thinking about the history of the city.And I arrived at vivit square.After a short break, I cross the Ebikawa Suimon Bridge.From there, I was able to see the fishing port dyed by the sunset.After that, after stopping at the 100 yen shop Daiso “Giga Funabashi”, I returned to Keisei Funabashi Station.
