Its proximity to all these SADC countries makes Limpopo the perfect springboard for exploring the riches of this exciting part of the African continent.
They call it the Great North. On the surface, it is a broad, boundless area, a landscape tanning itself in the heat of the African sun. However, let this not deter you because a look beyond reveals a land of immense beauty that brings interest and entertainment in generous amounts.

Come to a region of infinite scenic beauty with a great diversity of natural and manmade attractions, rich cultural heritage and an abundance of wildlife and nature-based tourism opportunities.

Bourke's Luck Potholes, were named after prospector Tom Bourke who discovered alluvial gold in the area during the late 1880's.Bourke's Luck Potholes is a magnificent natural attraction located along the Panorama Route, approximately 35 km north of the town of Graskop in Mpumalanga, and approximately a 20 minute drive from God's Window. This natural water feature marks the beginning of the Blyde River Canyon, the greenest and third largest canyon in the world, and has been formed by years and years of swirling whirlpools eroding holes into the bedrock of the Treur River.
Located approximately 35 km north of the town of Graskop, the site has grown in popularity as one of the province's best tourist destinations. The potholes which lie at the confluence of the Treur and Blyde rivers, were formed millions of years ago by the swirling of sand and pebbles, which resulted in the carving of the potholes into the underlying riverbed. Bourke's Luck Potholes also feature an interesting and informative visitors centre, which sheds light on the natural history of the region, as well as providing an introduction to the early inhabitants of the region, the San

Simulator Stories - Foskor Phalaborwa (5DT - Fifth Dimension Technologies)
Foskor Phalaborwa predominantly focuses on the extraction of phosphate rock which produces sulphuric acid and phosphoric acid. The mine has been in operation for 61 years.
The 5DT simulators were introduced as a strategic approach to enhance operator performances.
With the new simulators, essential equipment could keep on running, which resulted in a major reduction on machine wear and tear, and a 40% increase in production.
Foskor Phalaborwa`s training department was also now better able to focus on problem areas such as retarder use. After training operators to apply the correct retarding procedures, Foskor achieved a reduction of 90 Haul Truck consumed a year, to only 40 tyres.
Foskor Phalaborwa also focused on their local community to establish a new learner pipeline. Now, to cut down training time, operators are trained in advance so that the new and experienced operator can start immediately as soon as there is a vacancy. This community initiative promotes job creation and adds a portable skill to all its applicants.
The simulator is a fantastic tool which is user friendly and the operators love to train on it. Simulators reduced downtime and maintenance cost by 40%. - Cassie Vorster, Learning and Development Praktitioner, Foskor Phalaborwa
From a company perspective, we will never go back to the old methodology of training. - Louise De Jongh, General Manager of Human Capital, Foskor Phalaborwa
