More traveling in the Philippines with our next stop in the Sagada Province up in the mountains. We are here to explore as we shoot for Matanglawin and visit the different caves spelunking, waterfalls, rice terraces and best parts of the province. Today we come across a graveyard and also the famous hanging coffins as we hike through the Echo valley in search for the dead! Vlog 292

Echo Valley Hanging Coffins Tour Sagada. A 2 hour tour behind the Sagada cemetery through a hiking trail to get to the famous Sagada Hanging Coffins. Hanging Coffins were built on a mountain cliff to prevent wild animals from reaching the cadavers.

Sagada VLOG | Exploring the Echo Valley and the Hanging Coffins (Part 2)
In June of 2017, my friends and I went to Sagada in the Mountain Province.
On our first day, we explored the Echo Valley and there we learned more about the hanging coffins of Sagada. I've seen these in pictures and it's something that I've always wanted to see in real life, and I finally got to check it off my bucket list!

Here's how the first full day of my #Sagada2019 trip went. #Sagada is good for your mind and heart. It's a whole different story for your legs and lungs though. We met cool people and made new friends on this trip which made all the trekking and spelunking bearable. :)

The final chapter in my Philippines travel vlog series of exploring the mountain province in Cordillera, Northern Luzon. You're going love love what we found.
We're on the search for hanging coffins in Sagada. As a foreigner in the Philippines, I was told I should go to echo valley to see the famous hanging coffins of the Igorot people. This area gets hundreds of Filipino tourists from Manila, Baguio City, and across the country every day. On Fearless & Far, we're always on the search for the next level. The deeper experience. The adventure that challenges us.
I met up with my guide Chris and Angdung and we grabbed our machetes and hiking boots, and dove into the jungle. Looking for other sites that others have not visited in a long long time. We found exactly that.
The unique death rituals of the mountain people of Cordillera are not for the squeamish.In all my philippines travel vlog experiences, this was perhaps the most shocking and interesting topic I have come across.
While there are hanging coffins in China, and also similar practices in Indonesia, there's nothing quite like what happens here in Sagada, Mountain Province.
