EcoTarium Welcomes Mountain Lions
Wild Cat Station, one of the largest mountain lion exhibits in the country, at 18,500 square feet, is home to brother-and-sister kittens that were found emaciated in Half Moon Bay, California. A zoo in California took care of the mountain lions, and the EcoTarium, working with the state Division of Fisheries and Wildlife, took custody about a month ago. The exhibit was once home to the EcoTarium polar bear.

St. Patrick's Parade, Worcester Massachusetts
WORCESTER — More than a hundred-thousand people got their Irish on yesterday as they lined Park Avenue to watch the Worcester County St. Patrick's day parade.
Parade organizers estimated the warm weather and bright skies brought out more than 140,000 people to enjoy the 30th annual parade.
There were dozens of floats, 16 marching bands and an estimated 5,000 to 6,000 marchers.
Just about anything that could be green was, including Kathleen Mahoney's 5-year-old Lhasa apso, Gizmo. With all of his hair dyed green, Gizmo, with his tail wagging, strutted up and down the side of the parade route as if he thought he was part of the show. Ms. Mahoney, of Worcester, said she has been bringing her dog to the parade since he was a puppy.

Worcester, MA Time - Lapse [10-21-18]
On my way home I encountered a rain storm in Worcester, MA. Very cold at about 41ºF. This was a neat video for me, because for years I've been so used to coming through this part of Mass during the morning sunlight, even on the return trip. Never before at Dark and Rain.

Worcester: Hydraulic Glass Elevator @ Dead Galleria/Outlets Mall
This is an outside shot of the glass elevator I used to love riding in when I was a kid, up to my early/mid teens. Since the mall is dead, we can not ride it. This is what it looks like, for the most part.

Worcester, Massachusetts known as the Heart of the Commonwealth, is centrally located in Massachusetts. The second largest city in New England, Worcester is the site of a diverse and pioneering economy. The city has evolved from its heavy manufacturing past to new directions in economic enterprise. Biotechnology is a major enterprise within Worcester, as are eight colleges and a state university medical school.
Worcester is predominantly residential in character. More than 1200 acres of city-owned parkland are found within its 38 square miles. Rolling hills, the historic Blackstone River, numerous lakes and 54 parks, New England's largest urban wildlife sanctuary, a redeveloped downtown and many multicultural neighborhoods comprise the local landscape.
Worcester's parklands are among the oldest in the nation, its free public library one of America's oldest, its acclaimed music festival the nation's oldest, and its art museum a gem rivaling those of major urban centers.
