fishcity.com.au It's a shark plague at many Townsville hotspots, in fact a frenzy at Bunnings fishing spot wide of Cape Cleveland in Townsville, North Queensland. Clients on board Fish City Charters have a tough time steering large nannygai from the hungry jaws of whalers, bull sharks and an occasional tiger or hammerhead. Nonetheless, clients enjoy seeing the beasts up close and personal when they are teased with a hookless bait, so much so that one guest reckons its better than the fishing itself!

Epic fight monster giant trevally (GT) Hinchinbrook Island, Northern Australia
fishcity.com.au A monster size giant trevally dishes up an epic fight when Eddie Riddle fishes near Hinchinbrook Island, North Queensland Australia. Conditions are atrocious and the huge fish battles hard but is landed during filming of hit television series Fishn’ 4 Wheels. The giant trevally joins barramundi, bass, Spanish mackerel, tuna, marlin, queenfish, cobia, salmon, cod and many more species all featured by Eddie as he travels across Northern Australia in search of the hottest fishing destinations. Join Eddie on a journey of big fish, hot fishing tips and interviews with some of the most respected anglers in Australia including Ryan Moody, Steve Jeston, Dave Donald, Les Woodbridge, Lindsay Dobe, Dave Killalea and a very young Carl Jocumsen – an Aussie bass angler who was always destined to do his thing on the American Pro Bass circuit.
But first up, check out this incredible giant trevally. If it’s going to rain in Australia – the driest continent on earth – it’ll do it at world heritage listed Hinchinbrook Island. The rain doesn’t dampen Eddie’s enthusiasm though, and especially so during an epic fight with a monster size giant trevally or GT. The size of the fish is up there with the big ones (Eddie’s caught bigger) but given the terrible conditions and small boat while fishing off Hinchinbrook Island, the catch is remembered by many fans as truly amazing.
