The Eden Project, Cornwall, England: Largest Indoor Rainforest in the World
The Eden Project, housing the largest indoor rainforest in the world, as well as a Mediterranean biosphere, outdoor gardens and other exploratory and educations exhibitions; albeit, the main attraction is the Tropical Rainforest, housed in a biosphere measuring 180 feet high. The Eden Project, which is located in a disused China Clay Pit, first opened to the public in May 2000, and has since become a very popular tourist attraction in Cornwall.
Our day trip to the Eden Project; our journey begins on the main roads, just before entering the Eden Project Estate. Access is from the A390 onto the A391 before taking the main road north east from St Austell to link up (via a roundabout) with the main roads onto the Eden Project Estate built specifically for the tourists.

The Best of: The Eden Project, Bodelva, Cornwall, UK
Built on the site of a disused china clay pit, the Eden Project includes two biomes, planted landscapes, including vegetable gardens, and sculptures that include a giant bee and towering robot called RSA WEEE Man created from old electrical appliances.
It includes the world's largest greenhouse and inside the artificial biomes are plants that are collected from all around the world. It is located just 2 kilometers (1.25 miles) from the town of St Blazey and 5 kilometres (3 miles) from the larger town of St Austell, Cornwall.
The complex is dominated by two enclosures consisting of adjoining domes that house plant species from around the world. Each enclosure emulates a natural biome. The domes consist of hundreds of hexagonal and pentagonal, inflated, plastic cells supported by steel frames. The first dome emulates a tropical environment, and the second a Mediterranean environment.
