Aberdaron Walks, Wales Coast Path, Llyn Peninsula Walks In Gwynedd, Wales, UK
Aberdaron Walks was about 8.5 miles in distance. The terrain of the route was a combination of coastal paths with some paths over rolling hills and a quiet country road section. The walking was moderate on undulating ground with some short steep ascents and descents. Route finding was easy with obvious paths, good waymarking and good landmarks. There were no stiles to negotiate.

UK Weather: Storm Eleanor smashes into Britain
Thousands are left without power after Storm Eleanor smashed into Britain on Tuesday night with hurricane-force winds topping 97mph and torrential rain triggering 'danger to life' warnings across the country.Gusts of nearly 100mph were recorded near Connaught airport in Mayo, Southern Ireland, while the highest recorded winds in Britain hit Aberdaron in west Wales reaching 76mph.Poor weather conditions meant Irish Sea ferry crossings from Holyhead in Anglesey were cancelled while yellow and amber warnings have been issues across Britain. The amber wind warning, valid from 19:30 until 04:00, is in place for much of Northern Ireland.Experts warn this coupled with high tides, could cause large waves, leading to debris on sea fronts.Disruption could also be caused to transport and power supplies.Forecasters say there is a chance of injuries and danger to life, as well as minor property damage and disruption to power and other services. Many areas – including Cambridgeshire and along the Thames – face flooding until tomorrow, with the Environment Agency issuing 61 flood warnings across the country. It comes as a woman is fighting for her life in hospital after being caught by a freak wave while walking at the Lizard in Cornwall on New Year’s Day.On the same weekend, photographer James Pearce caught a man balanced on rocks surrounded by dangerous waves at Godrevy Lighthouse near St Ives.Moments later, just after the man had moved on, the rocks were submerged by the rising tide. The Met Office said: ‘Public transport may be disrupted or cancelled and some bridges are likely to be closed.Power cuts and disruption to other services – mobile phones for example – may also occur, while injuries from flying debris are possible.‘Combined with a period of high tides, it is likely that some western coastal communities will be affected by large waves and spray, and again there is a chance that injuries and danger to life could occur from large waves, or beach material being thrown.’ The Environment Agency warned that strong winds and waves could bring coastal flooding until tomorrow.Flood duty manager Neil Davies said: ‘We urge people to .take extreme care on coastal paths and promenades, and don’t put yourself in unnecessary danger trying to take “storm selfies”.’ Forecasters expect a return to ‘much colder’ conditions over the weekend with a risk of frost and ice, particularly in the north. The Met Office has issued several national severe weather warnings due to the potential for travel disruption. And the AA is expecting one of its busiest days of the year, and anticipates rescuing more than 18,000 drivers.Coastal roads and properties along Britain's western and southern coasts are vulnerable to high waves throwing beach material onto sea fronts, forecasters warned. The Environment Agency warned earlier that strong winds and high tides could bring coastal flooding from Tuesday until Thursday.Carol Holt, the Environment Agency's flood duty manager, said: 'We urge peo

Places to see in ( Aberdaron - UK )
Aberdaron is a community and former fishing village at the western tip of the Llŷn Peninsula in the Welsh county of Gwynedd. It lies 14.8 miles west of Pwllheli and 33.5 miles south west of Caernarfon. Aberdaron is sometimes referred to as the Land's End of Wales, or in Welsh Pendraw'r Byd (roughly far end of the world). The community includes Bardsey Island (Welsh: Ynys Enlli), the coastal area around Porthor, and the villages of Anelog, Llanfaelrhys, Penycaerau, Rhoshirwaun, Rhydlios, Uwchmynydd and Y Rhiw.
Y Rhiw and Llanfaelrhys have long been linked by sharing rectors and by their close proximity, but were originally ecclesiastical parishes in themselves. The parish of Bodferin/Bodverin was assimilated in the 19th century. The village was the last rest stop for pilgrims heading to Bardsey Island (Ynys Enlli), the legendary island of 20,000 saints. In the 18th and 19th centuries it developed as a shipbuilding centre and port. The mining and quarrying industries became major employers, and limestone, lead, jasper and manganese (Mango) were exported. There are the ruins of an old pier running out to sea at Porth Simdde, which is the local name for the west end of Aberdaron Beach. After the Second World War the mining industry collapsed, and Aberdaron gradually developed into a holiday resort.
Conservation Areas have been created in Aberdaron, Bardsey Island and Y Rhiw; and the area has been designated a Landscape of Historic Interest. The area around Aberdaron has been inhabited by people for millennia. Evidence from the Iron Age hillfort at Castell Odo, on Mynydd Ystum, shows that some phases of its construction began unusually early, in the late Bronze Age, between 2850 and 2650 years before present.
The church at Aberdaron had the ancient privilege of sanctuary. In 1094 Gruffudd ap Cynan, the exiled King of Gwynedd, sought refuge in the church while attempting to recapture his throne; he escaped in the monastic community's boat to Ireland. Aberdaron stands on the shore of Bae Aberdaron (English: Aberdaron Bay) in a small valley at the confluence of the Afon Daron and Afon Cyll-y-Felin, between the headlands of Uwchmynydd to the west, and Trwyn y Penrhyn to the east.
Sheep have been raised in the Llŷn Peninsula for over a thousand years, and Aberdaron has produced and exported wool for many years. The main product locally was felt, produced by soaking the cloth in water and beating it with large wooden paddles until the wool formed a thick mat which could be flattened, dried and cut into lengths. Two stone bridges, Pont Fawr (English: Large Bridge) and Pont Fach (English: Small Bridge), built in 1823, cross the Afon Daron and Afon Cyll y Felin in the centre of Aberdaron. Beyond the bridges the road opens up to create a small market square.
Porth Ysgo, owned by the National Trust, is reached by a steep slope from Llanfaelrhys, 3.3 miles (5.3 km) east of Aberdaron, past a disused manganese mine in Nant y Gadwen. Porthor (English: Whistling Sands) is a cove 3.2 miles (5.1 km) north of Aberdaron that has smooth white sand; when dry, the sand whistles, or squeaks, underfoot.
Aberdaron lies at the western end of the B4413 road. The road runs east to Llanbedrog, where it connects with the A499 Pwllheli to Abersoch road. On weekdays other than Wednesdays, Nefyn Coaches service 334 runs a morning Rhydlios–Porth Or–Uwchmynydd–Aberdaron–Penygroeslon–Llangwnnadl–Tudweiliog–Nefyn route.
( Aberdaron - UK ) is well know as a tourist destination because of the variety of places you can enjoy while you are visiting the city of Aberdaron . Through a series of videos we will try to show you recommended places to visit in Aberdaron - UK

Aberdaron Beach, Lleyn Peninsula - Part 2
More flying over Aberdaron Beach on the Lleyn Perninsula. This time a stiffer breeze and catching lift from the gently sloping beach as well as the hill located next to the dead centre of town!
I did manage to fly from the sandy beach and lob the model up into the lift coming off the sea wall but I did have a few 'oops moments' when trying this. These are captured at the end of the video. Sand got everywhere especially in the corex winglets.

Nant Gwrtheyrn Walks, Wales Coast Path, Llyn Peninsula Walks In Gwynedd, Wales, UK
Nant Gwrtheyrn Walks was about 8 miles in distance. The terrain of the route was a combination of field and hillside paths; short drive, track, lane and road sections. The walking was challenging on undulating ground with one very steep descent and very steep long ascent. Route finding was generally easy with obvious paths, good waymarking and good landmarks. However, some sections had vague paths so a reasonable level of map-reading skills is desirable on this route. There were 7 stiles to negotiate.

Yr Eifl Walk, Wales Coast Path, Llyn Peninsula Walks In Gwynedd, Wales, UK
Yr Eifl Walk was about 3.5 miles in distance. The terrain of the route was a combination of mountain tracks and paths. The walking was challenging over rough surfaces with two steep ascents and descents; exposed sections on the first summit; and a bit of scrambling over boulders. Route finding was generally easy with some good waymarking and good landmarks. However some of the paths are difficult to follow in places so map-reading skills would be advisable. Be aware that this walk should not be attempted in misty weather. There were no stiles to negotiate.

Aberdaron, Wales
About a year ago, I spent a few days in Aberdaron. For anyone thats been there I know that you can testify that this place is beyond peaceful and beautiful. The biggest privilege was waking up super early with my 2 year old and catching the sun rise at the Point. Enjoy Aberdaron in all its glory with this short video..
Aberdaron is a community and former fishing village at the western tip of the Llŷn Peninsula (Welsh: Penrhyn Llŷn) in the Welsh county of Gwynedd. It lies 14.8 miles (23.8 km) west of Pwllheli and 33.5 miles (53.9 km) south west of Caernarfon, and has a population of 965.[1] It is sometimes referred to as the Land's End of Wales, or in Welsh Pendraw'r Byd (roughly far end of the world).
Llyn peninsula 5, Wales Coast Path, Porth Colmon to Aberdaron, 12 1/2 miles
This walk I underestimated somewhat. As this part had lots of ups and downs, and one long steady incline towards Bardsey, it took its toll. Consequently I took 3 hours longer than I thought I would, plus if like me you have somebody waiting to pick you up at the end, the cell phone connection was lousy. That said it is a beautiful walk with stunning scenery.
