Climbing Ruapehu
Tasman Roy (Film Maker Site) -
With ice axes in hand, and gear to stay the night, Tas, Jimmy and the crew from the Massey University Alpine Club climb the highest peak of New Zealand’s North island to camp on the edge of Mt Ruapehu's volcanic crater. With a small window in the weather, the team is able to seize an extremely rare opportunity to set camp just below the summit, on the craters exposed ridge line. The risk pays off, and the team is rewarded with an incredible view from above the clouds. Climbing up was tough, but the experience of a lifetime would prove to be worth it.

Lake Taupo to Paeroa - Bicycle touring in New Zealand - The ONION Adventure
After the Tongariro Alpine Crossing and one break day to relax our sore legs, we cycled North to Rotorua and enjoyed all the geotermal activity along the way: Hot Pools, sulphur vents and other interesting geothermal features. In Rotorua we got in touch with some Maori culture before leaving in direction of the Coromandel Peninsula.

Film 2 - Related last one
The second film focuses on Maori culture.
Europeans began colonizing New Zealand in the 19th century. And for a long time they treated the indigenous people - Maori - as representatives of a primitive culture, savages. Many stereotypes still exist. But Maori culture is much deeper and richer than it seems at first glance.
