Edgeley Park, Stockport County 1979
Following an agreement with the copyright holder reproduced here is short film footage of a number of English and Scottish Football grounds taken during the 1979/1981 seasons. The original Cine film was shot in Super 8 format in colour and last approximately 90 seconds the quality is variable. (This version 640x480).
The footage captures the scene in and around grounds revealing the stands and terraces and they are a unique snapshot of crucially how the grounds appeared at the time before some of which disappeared forever or had yet to be redeveloped. Clubs not featured were either never filmed or they refused permsission to film at their ground.
In providing these clips respect respect the copyright holder and do not edit or redistribute any of the footage but links back to this post are fine.
Thanks to the Internet Football Ground Guide for their support.

Stockport County F.C.
Stockport County Football Club is a semi-professional football club in Stockport, Greater Manchester, England. Formed in 1883 as Heaton Norris Rovers, the team adopted their name in 1890 after the County Borough of Stockport. They have played at Edgeley Park since 1902, traditionally in blue and white, and are nicknamed The Hatters after the town's former hat-making industry.
Stockport County joined the Football League in 1900 and competed in it continuously from 1905 to 2011. The team spent most of their history in the lower reaches of the Football League, but the 1990s were more successful with the club competing in the First Division for five seasons; however, instability on and off the pitch eventually led to Stockport falling back to the lower divisions. They are currently the longest surviving Football League team to drop out of the league, having played in the league for a total of 110 years. The club started the 2011–12 season in the Conference National, having been relegated from Football League Two at the end of 2010–11. At the end of 2012–13, Stockport were relegated to the Conference North.

Halifax vs West Brom FA Cup 1st Round 1993
Non-league Halifax brush aside 1st division West Brom at the Shay in the 1st round of the FA Cup in 1993. Caught on camera by Sky Sports, the Shaymen were too quick and too slick for the Baggies. Look out for great performances from Steve Saunders, Peter Craven, Diddy Darren Heyes and Jason Peake. In addition, Shay legend Kieran O' Regan was a member of the West Brom team that day. Boing, Boing, Baggies, Baggies!
For the record, Town went on to lose their second round match against Stockport County at Edgeley Park by 5 goals to 1. Six foot seven inch Kevin Francis did most of the damage that day!

The real time passing in this video is actually about 21 minutes. I wish I had taken a portable battery supply as I could have run this for longer then as the effect is quite nice. Maybe next year.
