Edmonton Radial Railway - Rolling Stock (Version 21 - HD)
Updated March 22, 2017 -- Photos and videos of the Rolling Stock owned and operated by the Edmonton Radial Railway Society of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada (ERRS). This video includes images from both the Fort Edmonton Park line (FEP) and the High Level Bridge line (HLB). The images were taken between 2008 and 2016, so you may notice things such as the Capitol Theatre in Fort Edmonton missing from some shots, or a wooden floor in the Fort Edmonton Carbarn in some shots (it has had a concrete floor for a few years now). You may also notice that the cars Edmonton #33 and Melbourne #930 both appear on the Fort Edmonton Park line as well as the High Level Bridge line.
The streetcars featured in this video include:
Edmonton #1 (FEP) - streetcar built in 1908 by Ottawa Car Co.
Edmonton #33 (FEP & HLB) - streetcar built in 1912 by St. Louis Car Co.
Edmonton #42 (FEP) - streetcar built in 1912 by St. Louis Car Co.
Edmonton #80 (FEP) - streetcar built in 1930 by Ottawa Car Co.
Hannover #601 (HLB) - prototype LRT built in 1970 by Siemens/Düwag
Melbourne #930 (FEP & HLB) - streetcar built in 1947 in Melbourne, Australia
Osaka #247 (HLB) - streetcar built in 1921 by Umebachi/Sharyo
Regina #42 (FEP) - streetcar built by Canadian Car and Foundry Co.
Saskatoon #200 (FEP) - sweeper/overhead line car built in 1907 by Ottawa Car Co.

Edmonton Radial Railway: Osaka 247 Cab Ride
Cab ride from Strathcona to Downtown Edmonton over the High Level Bridge. This streetcar is from Osaka and has experienced no changes since it was donated to the Edmonton Radial Railway. Amazingly, this 98 year old streetcar was used in revenue service until 1990. It was the first streetcar to run across the High Level Bridge when the Edmonton Radial Railway Society began operations over said bridge.

Edmonton Radial Railway Society 1949 Melbourne Australia car #930
Right near the very end of this video was a close call with a white BMW.
Anyways, this was a ride aboard the former 1949 Melbourne Australia Streetcar that is now operated by the Edmonton Radial Railway Society (ERRS). This was recorded on June 13, 2009 during the Spring 2009 BHA (Bus History Association) convention.

Edmonton High Level Bridge Streetcar Round Trip (Trams #930 and #247)
These are strange looking airplanes. They don't have wings, make chukka chukka choo choo noises, and ride on rails. Hmm, they must be what they call... trains.
Anyway, here's a video from my round trip on the Edmonton Radial Railway Society's beautiful vintage streetcars/tram cars. The first car was a 1947 M&MTB W6-class tram - Public Transport Corporation (Melbourne, Australia) tram #930 and the second car was a 1921 Umebachi/Sharyo - Nankai Electric Railway (Osaka, Japan) tram #247 (pictured) (returned to service in 2018). They run on an old CP Rail line from Strathcona to downtown Edmonton, crossing a high-level bridge over the North Saskatchewan River. Excellent views.
This was quite fun and I hope to come back again soon to ride the cars again. Hats off to the Edmonton Radial Railway Society for all of their hard volunteer work keeping these lovely old ladies running.

Edmonton High Level Streetcar - Vue Weekly
Take the trolley to the Fringe!
Fringe is upon us and Vue Wave's second ever video podcast is all about the neatest possible way you could get there, the trolley. Run by the Edmonton Radial Railway Society, the trolley runs from downtown to the Fringe grounds every 40 minutes and is the perfect compliment to a day of Fringing.
We made this video one sunny day just before Father's Day and are sharing it with you now so that you'll consider the time of your life on the trolley. Also, it goes over the top of the High Level Bridge. Delightfully frightening! Check it out.

This mini-documentary is the product of a 13-week introductory filmmaking class that I took through FAVA (Film and Video Arts Society - Alberta)--- look for Video Kitchen on their website (fava.ca). I highly recommend the class for anyone any beginner film/video hobbyist!
