A total of more than 14,000 fireworks were shot up into the air over the course of 75 minutes for this annual hanabi event, with a new theme every 10 minutes. However 1,000 fireworks were lit within the first 5 minutes! The Edogawa Hanabi Taikai is one of the more enjoyable of Tokyo’s many summer fireworks events as the flat plains of the river banks provide ample seating.

Edogawa hanabi is a joint work of Edogawa (Tokyo pref) and Ichikawa (Chiba pref) cities. Hanabi is literally a fire flower. Feel free to correct my English or suggest a video to film.

I wanted to test the GoPro Fusion to provide a full immersive experience in 5.7k for one of the most interesting event you can ever attend.

One of the things that I really look forward to even before I came to Japan is the annual Fireworks Festival that is held in all parts of the country during the summer season.
It was spring when I came to Japan and the thought of summer always thrilled me. Because when I hear of the word 'summer', I hear hanabi. Hanabi (花火), the Japanese word for fireworks, was originally used to ward off evil spirits. It has a long history and serves an integral part of Japanese summers.
The Fireworks Festival in Edogawa was one of the best days in my life here in Japan. I have never seen such an amazingly magical fireworks display my entire life.
The experience made me appreciate Japan's culture even more as I witnessed one important event that the Japanese people annually celebrates. It is not only free, it also is the best place to relax, go on a date or even propose, and is also a good way to bond with your family.

There are some focusing issues between front and background, but main moments are ok.
You can see Edogawa hanabi every first weekend of August. It's extremely crowded but still there are a lot of free places where you can watch it without issues.

Had a great time at ichikawa fireworks tonight! Went early in the morning before 11am to put mat and secure a spot. Got lucky with a beautiful sunset prior to the event. And the fireworks themselves were fantastic! They put on a good show! ????????????????????
