Château Fourcas-Borie has been owned by Madame Monique Rochette Borie’s family for over 100 years when she inherited it in 1976.
The estate is now run by Bruno Borie who also owns the prestigious Château Ducru-Beaucaillou, Classified Growth of Saint-Julien.
The property covers about 22 hectares including 13 hectares of vineyards (32 acres) planted with a majority of Merlot, as well as Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot.

Our Wine Buff Mollie Battenhouse is tasting the 2009 Grand Listrac, Listrac-Medoc, from the 2013 Today's Bordeaux selection.
A sweet, zesty, full wine with an earthy profile, solid tannins, and a mineral tang. It has hints of cherry, cocoa, blackberries, and menthol with herbal and savory notes.
This wine pairs well with:Burger, Cheese, Gnocchi in Cream Sauce, Lamb, NY Steak, Pasta with Tomato Meat Sauce, Roast Crusted with Herbs

GRAPES
60 % Merlot, 35 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 5 % Petit Verdot.
