Egypt Falls, Cape Breton Nova Scotia
Egypt Falls is located in the Upper Margaree area of Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia.
These falls have likely the greatest volume and widest expanse of falling water in Nova Scotia. The waterfall, on Matheson's Brook, is 80 ft wide and 60 feet high. The entire gorge has about 80 meters of drop with lots of very steep foot trails.
Hiking Trails of Nova Scotia - Egypt Falls
Egypt Falls is a short, but nearly vertical, 500m from the road. And even in summer it maintains a good flow. For a longer hike, continue walking down the road from the falls. It ends for cars in less than a kilometre, but persists as a track for another few kilomteres down a once-settled, but now deserted, valley of Pipers Glen.
A detailed route description can be found in Hiking Trails of Nova Scotia, 9th edition.

Scenic Ceilidh Trail on Cape Breton Island: Dunvegan, Inverness
Trunk Route 19 stretches along the western coast of Cape Breton Island, providing some excellent scenery. This portion of the road is known as the Ceilidh Trail, and this video shows you the drive from Dunvegan, through Inverness, to Mabou.

I made this trip in early October, 2016. Video shot with a Brinno TLC-200 Pro time-lapse camera, mounted on my roof with a homemade magnetic case. I travel with two Brinno cameras - one facing forward, the other in reverse. Sometimes the reverse camera captures better video (fewer raindrops and bugs hit the rear-view lens).

Cape Breton's Margaree River.
The Margaree River is a river on Cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia. The northeast branch of the river derives from the watershed of the Cape Breton Highlands, while the Southwest Margaree flows northeast from Lake Ainslie. The two branches join at Margaree Forks. The river then flows north to empty into the Gulf of Saint Lawrence at Margaree Harbour, Nova Scotia. The river is 120 km in length and drains an area of 1,375 km². The Margaree has been well known for a century for its trout and salmon sport fishery, that draws anglers from near and far. Fishing is highly regulated now and is restricted to fly fishing only, with barbless hooks, in the main stem of the river.
