Visiting the Egyptian Theatre in Coos Bay Oregon
From Wikipedia: The Egyptian Theatre is a historic movie theatre in Coos Bay, Oregon, United States. It was originally built as a garage, and was converted to a theatre in 1925. With a seating capacity of 770, the theatre is an example of the Egyptian Theatre style of Egyptian Revival architecture that was popular in the early 20th century in the U.S., especially following the 1922 discovery of the tomb of King Tut. The building was listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places on May 24, 2010. In fact it was announced as the featured listing in the National Park Service's weekly list of June 4, 2010.

Sumin's Sushi Coos Bay Oregon - Best Sushi on the West Coast
My visit to Sumin's in Coos Bay Oregon, not often enough. In this out of the way coastal city is arguably the best sushi place in the western states. Fish comes right off the boat, with the owner's recipies having been handed down for generations. This is Korean-Japanese style with the extra spices in several items along with the most up to date preparations in the business. Prices are very reasonable since this is located in an economically depressed area but the locals know what they have and stop by often so the place is always hopping. It is right down the street from the Egyptian theater (you might have seen it in one of the Twilight movies) on southbound highway 101.
