Old Eidfjord Church
Old Eidfjord Church (Norwegian: Eidfjord gamle kyrkje) is a parish church in Eidfjord municipality in Hordaland county, Norway. It is located in the village of Eidfjord. The church is part of the Eidfjord parish in the Hardanger og Voss deanery in the Diocese of Bjørgvin. The white, stone church was built around the year 1309 to serve the people of Eidfjord. The church was the main church for the Eidfjord parish (sokn) until 1981 when the new Eidfjord Church was completed. The old church is now used only for special occasions since it only seats about 100 people. The church is decorated as it looked in the 1700s.

SIMA power plant - daily guided tours 15.06-15.08
Where water turns into renewable energy! The station hall is located 700 metres inside the mountain and is 200-metres-long, 20-metres-wide and 40 metres high. During the period from June 15 – August 15, we offer daily guided tours at 10am, 12noon and 2pm that include a fascinating fi lm about the plant’s construction and about Statkraft (Norway’s electricity generating group), as well as a tour of the station hall inside the mountain. Guided tours last an hour. Sima Hydroelectric Power Plant is located in Simadal, approximately seven kilometres from the centre of Eidfjord. Follow the signs. The visit to the power station could be combined with a visit to the nearby Kjeåsen mountain farm.

Vøringsfossen - Norway's most famous waterfall
Vøringfossen waterfall is the 83rd highest waterfall in Norway on the basis of total fall. It lies at the top of Måbødalen in the municipality of Eidfjord, in Hordaland, not far from Highway 7, which connects Oslo with Bergen. It has a total drop of 182 meters,and a major drop of 163 meters. It is perhaps the most famous in the country and a major tourist attraction on the way down from Hardangervidda to Hardangerfjord.
