Eigerøy Lighthouse (Norwegian: Eigerøy fyr) is a coastal lighthouse located at the small island of Midbrødøya which is located immediately west of the island of Eigerøya in Eigersund municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It was established in 1854 and automated in 1989.

This was Norway's first cast iron lighthouse, and its success encouraged the building of many more on the Norwegian coastline. The light sits at an elevation of 46.5 metres (153 ft) above sea level, sitting atop a 32.9-metre (108 ft) tall tower. The light emits three white flashes every 30 seconds. The light uses a 1st order Fresnel lens and produces a 3,905,000-candela light and is one of the strongest in Europe. The light can be seen from all directions for up to 18.8 nautical miles (34.8 km; 21.6 mi).

The tower is attached to a 2-story service building. The lighthouse is painted red with one white horizontal band. The lighthouse was automated in 1989 and it remains under the control of the Kystverket. There are a limited number of tours available. It is accessible by road and the tower is open for touring on Sundays in July.

Trollpikken

Trollpikken (the Troll's Dick) is a rock formation in Eigersund municipality, in Norway, between Kjervall and Veshovda. A rock jutting out from a cliff face to a height of almost 12 metres (39 ft) resembles an erect penis. In June 2017, the rock was severed using power tools; it was reattached the following month after a crowdfunding campaign.

The local tourist board was discussing using Trollpikken to draw tourists in a similar manner to Trolltunga (the troll's tongue) and Preikestolen (the preacher's pulpit) by providing parking when on June 24, 2017, joggers discovered that the approximately 10-tonne (9.8-long-ton; 11-short-ton) formation had been severed using power tools. 226,000 kroner was raised online to reattach it using a crane assembled on-site; a contractor told a Norwegian TV station, We have the Viagra it takes. It was successfully reattached on July 7, using a combination of cement, glue and metal fittings. By late that month, parking and signs had been provided and NRK reported that at least one suspect had been arrested for the vandalism.

Egersund Wind Park

Egersund Wind Farm is located by Åsheia and Kolldalsheia in the municipality of Eigersund, approximately 5-8 kilometres east of the city of Egersund in Norway.
Egersund Wind Farm will consist of 33 Senvion wind turbines, each generating 3.4 MW for a combined effect of 112.2 MW.

The expected annual production should be around 395GWh, which equates to the annual electric consumption of 20.000 Norwegian households.

This is a timelapse of Egersund city in southwest Norway. It was actually quite disappointing to watch how few it was that actually took part... The municipality decided last year that they would shut of the street lights for one hour. However it seems like the main street lights doesn't count, and those are the most dominant ones too... Damn...

I am very pleased with the outcome of this timelapse. It might just have been speed up 5 times normal, but it turned out quite well I think. I will make more of these in the future!

History of Vannbassengan started when city of Egersund decided to build a municipal swimming pool in the area in 1875. Today it is the city's main recreation area.

The forest history: Egersund Forestry and Tree Planting company started afforestation this area in 1880. Tree planting company is still ongoing forestry operations in the area. The forest is currently operated in a good way enhances and protects outdoor life and nature experience.

Die Geschichte des Waldes um das Freibad: Egersunds Försterei begann die Aufforstung in diesem Bereich im Jahr 1880 und die Baumpflanzung ist noch nicht abgeschlossen. Der Wald wird derzeit in einer guten Art und Weise gepflegt und bietet tolle Naturerlebnisse.
