My Experience In a Shukubo | Japan VLOG #5
What's up ?
This time I stayed in Sekishoin, a temple in Mount Koya and that was an amazing experience.
Even if it was expensive, that was worth the price ;)
Shojoshin-in temple, Japan
This is a little snapshot of Shojoshin-in buddhist temple that is located on Mt Koya, south of Osaka in Japan. Yes, there does seem to be a monk sweeping pebbles. I'm uploading a couple of vids of my holiday to show overseas family some of the best parts of our trip.

Tanukidani Fudo-in
Tanukidani Fudo-in
Halfway up a rugged slope stands the mountain temple of Tanukidani Fudo-in. Since it was established in the 18th century, this temple has been famous as a home for shugen-do, a form of shamanism incorporating both Buddhist and Shinto ideas which is unique to the mountains of Japan. Visitors make their way up numerous stone steps to reach the main building before making their way along a mountain path through the surrounding woods, encountering numerous interesting shrines and buildings along their way. Austere though this mountain temple might seem at first glance, visitors will be charmed by the site’s countless statues of tanuki, or raccoon dogs, which serve as the mascot of the temple.
