El Alamein War Cemetery, Egypt
El Alamein is a village, bypassed by the main coast road, approximately 130 kilometres west of Alexandria, Egypt on the road to Marsa Matrouh. The first Commission road direction sign is located just beyond the Alamein police checkpoint and all visitors should turn off from the main road onto the parallel old coast road. The cemetery lies off the road, slightly beyond a ridge, and is indicated by road direction signs approximately 25 metres before the low metal gates and stone wing walls which are situated centrally at the road edge at the head of the access path into the cemetery. The Cross of Sacrifice feature may be seen from the road.

El Alamein Memorial WWII - Cinematic Egypt Vlog (A7III,A7SII) -
We all know El-Alamein or have been there whether we were staying at the North Coast or passing by on our way to Marsa-Matruh, but not many of us know the history of the area or that one of the biggest battles of the WWII took place in El-Alamein which ended in victory for the Allies Forces.
Currently in El-Alamein the only thing left from that war is 3 Cemeteries that give us a hint about what happened in the war
A German, Italian and Commonwealth cemeteries are in the area and are open for visit, and are kept as reminders of these wars and a memory for us to appreciate and respect life.
Also we will find the War Museum, that still holds some of the war collectibles and is divided in different halls for each country, explaining the war that took place in that area.
This video takes us in a tour around these cemeteries, commemorating the memory of the soldiers of gave their lives in this war.
Also trying to shed some light on a historical part of Egypt that not many of us are familiar with it or even have heard about, trying to discover new places around Egypt to show the beauty of our country.

El Alamein
This is a video of the photos I took when I visited the El Alamein Museum and the British Commonwealth Memorial in June 2009. Unfortunately because of time constraints and also our guide not doing well in the weather, I didn't get to see the memorials for the other nations involved such as Germany. Regardless of your nationality or views concerning the war, if you're ever in Egypt and get the chance to see the museum and the memorials I strongly advise you to do so. Being up close to all the vechicles, weapons and relics of the battle and the war in North Africa was fascinating for me since I'm a military nutter and lover of history. It was also extremely humbling to walk among the graves at the British Commonwealth Memorial, wish I was able to visit the other memorials too.
This is the first music video that I've made, so please feel free to comment on this video and what I could've done to improve it. Hope you enjoy.
