Logoly State Park Walking Trails
Logoly State Park is one of the 52 state parks of the Arkansas State Parks System, located in the Gulf Coastal Plain, 6 miles north of Magnolia, 0.75 miles east of McNeil, off U.S. Route 79 on Loyola Road in southwestern Arkansas in the United States. At Arkansas’s first environmental education state park, Logoly’s natural resources provide a living laboratory for students and visitors. Most of Logoly’s 370 acres comprise a State Natural Area that includes unique plant species and mineral springs. This peaceful park surrounded by old growth forest is an easy day trip from Texarkana, El Dorado, Camden, Magnolia, and Hope. Park facilities include six group tent sites (no hookups), a bathhouse with hot showers, pavilion, picnic sites, playground, and multiple trails. MAGNESIA SPRINGS TRAIL, CRANE'S FLY TRAIL, SPRING BRANCH TRAIL
We hike the outer trail system and record the hike with the Yi Lite Action Camera. This is the whole hike on the trail. Some of our conversation may seem stupid but my wife and I always joke around with each other. If you do this hike you will need plenty of SKEETER SPRAY!. This is more of a day use park. They do have some tent sites as shown in video.
You can talk to the superintendent of the park about camping in a pull off or open area.

Arkansas' state motto is The Natural State and that tells you a lot. It has great state parks with wilderness comprising broadleaf forests. The northwest boasts the Ozark Mountains while the south and east of the state has flatter land and shows more of its agricultural heritage. The Mississippi River forms the eastern border of the state and gives a great blues music heritage, great country music elsewhere (Johnny Cash was an Arkansan) and folk andeverywhere. There are wonderful state parks with camping facilities and some with cabins. The Buffalo River has majestic scenery and easy canoe float trips (but go in late spring to be sure there is enough water). The summer is HOT and humid; spring and autumn are wetter but mostly from intermittent heavy rain showers. Winter brings a little snow, but this time of year can still be humid. Spring is tornado season.
The spelling and pronunciation of Arkansas (it is always ar-kan-saw) reflect the state's heritage. The name is a French pronunciation of a Siouxan word meaning land of downriver people and was prescribed by law in 1881.
Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport (formerly Little Rock National Airport), located dead center, is Arkansas' main air terminal, although XNA near Bentonville is another option. Other airports can be found in Fayetteville, Fort Smith, Texarkana, and Memphis, Tennessee.
Arkansas' food resembles that of its southern neighbors. Much truly authentic and worthwhile southern cuisine is made in private homes, cookouts, or church functions, rather than actual restaurants. One exception is barbecue, particularly pork barbecue, which is widespread, and available in restaurants, roadside stands, and even trucks. Another regional staple is fried catfish, often it is served with hushpuppies, cole slaw, and french fries or a baked potato. Catfish is especially prevalent in the lowland and Delta regions of the south and east.
The legal drinking and purchasing age of alcoholic beverages is 21. Arkansas is one of the five states that don't allow any exception to underage drinking, although underage drinking is not explicitly prohibited by law.
Keep in mind many Arkansas counties are dry and do not have retail alcohol sales. However bringing alcohol for private use into a dry county is legal for those over 21 years of age. Currently, 37 counties are dry. You cannot buy alcohol in a store on a Sunday.
Arkansas does not have much in the way of craft beer. It can be hard to find craft beer outside of a liquor store (although some grocery stores sell it). Diamond Bear beer is brewed in Little Rock. It is also worth noting that there is no Yuengling in Arkansas.

Toltec Mounds Archeological State Park-wildlife viewing, Arkansas Museum of Natural Resources, Ft. Smith National Historic Site
You wouldn't normally expect to find wildlife viewing opportunities at an archeological park, but that's not the case at Toltec Mounds Archaeological State Park near Scott. A hidden gem in the southern part of the state near Smackover, is the Arkansas Museum of Natural Resources which portrays the 1920's oil boom in that area. Fort Smith National Historic Site is a special place where you can walk where Mexican War and Civil War soldiers drilled, pause along the Trail of Tears and witness where justice was served.

After leaving the state park we go to explore Magnolia Arkansas.
The city was founded in 1853. At the time of its incorporation in 1858, the city had a population of about 1,950. The city grew slowly as an agricultural and regional cotton market until the discovery of oil just east of the city in March 1938, with the Barnett #1 drilled by the Kerr-Lynn Company. The Magnolia Oil Field was an important discovery for the city as well as for the nation, as it was the largest producing field (in volume) during the early years of World War II, helping to sustain the American war effort.
In March 2013, more than 5,000 barrels of oil leaked from a Lion Oil Trading & Transportation storage tank in Magnolia, with some flowing into a bayou
Magnolia is located in southwest Arkansas, north of the center of Columbia County at 33°16′27″N 93°14′1″W (33.274052, -93.233477).[7] The average altitude is 336 ft (102 m) above sea level according to NOAA. The surrounding region is a mix of dense forest, farm prairies, and low rolling hills.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 13.3 square miles (34.4 km2), of which 0.027 square miles (0.07 km2), or 0.21%, is water.[4]
Magnolia is located about 50 miles (80 km) east of Texarkana, about 135 miles (217 km) south of Little Rock, and about 75 miles (121 km) northeast of Shreveport, Louisiana.
MAGNOLIA
The Columbia County seat, about 2.5 hours from Little Rock, is a charming southwest Arkansas town with a quaint courthouse square. The town proudly displays its heritage with colorful murals on buildings around the square. Numerous shops and restaurants ringing the courthouse await visitors. Also highlighting the square are the stately trees which give the town its name. Founded in 1909, Southern Arkansas University, a liberal arts college that calls Magnolia home, offers a varied calendar of events and tours of its 658-acre Agricultural and Horticultural Farm. At 3,000 acres, Lake Columbia is one of the largest Arkansas Game and Fish Commission impoundments in South Arkansas and is popular with both anglers and outdoor enthusiasts. The Magnolia Blossom Festival and World's Championship Steak Cook-off draws thousands of visitors each May.

What to know
South Arkansas is home to the unique story of the 1920s oil boom. Walking the grounds of the state park, you’ll see working oil field equipment used in the area, including a replica of a 112-foot derrick and a central power station that could pull up to 15 wells. Inside the museum, tour a reproduction of a boomtown with an old jail and café. The streets are lined with vintage trucks and gas pumps. Watch a short film in the theater, and view exhibits on the origins of oil and how to drill for it. Admission to the museum is free. Special events include Chautauqua, Tinker Fest, Fall Fest, and a Holiday Lights Extravaganza. The museum is on Ark. 7, two miles south of Smackover.
