El Tajo de Ronda , Located at the city of Ronda, and with an stimated surface of 47,5 Ha., this space consists of two parts, the first being a gorge of 500 m length and 100 m depth with a width of 50 m and the second, being a huge ravine, opened at a circular hollow: La Caldera. It is located over prehistoric rests and the gorge has been digged by the Guadalevin river, setting different kind of materials at its meadows.
At the ravine, opned to the zone of the caldera (the boiler), bushes appear as if they were stains or pillows at the edges of the ravine. The animals seen at this area are mainly crews, swifts, pigeons and some birds of prey like the kestrel and the hawk. The landscape is also of great quality, due to its spectacular ravines and of the fact of being at the same city centre (the houses are built at the edges of the ravine).
The Tagus or New Bridge (El Tajo de Ronda) is a gorge on which is located the city of Ronda , province of Malaga , autonomous community of Andalusia , Spain . It has an area of approximately 47.5 ha and a gorge excavated by the Guadalevin River 500 m long and 100 m deep. Its width is 50 m and has a large escarpment that opens to La Caldera, hollow in a circular shape.
The Caldera is covered by scattered scrub, which also appears hanging in the escarpment and the edge of the cornice. Among the fauna that inhabit it, the corvids , the swifts and the pigeons stand out , as well as species of birds of prey such as the vulgar kestrel and the peregrine falcon .

Ronda, Spain - El Tajo Gorge & Puente Nuevo Bridge
The Puente Nuevo Bridge is also called the New Bridge since it is the newer of the 3 bridges that span the El Tajo Gorge (and Guadalevín River). It is a stunning piece of work and the views from it are spectacular, as are the views below looking up toward the bridge. We spent 3 wonderful days in Ronda and this was definitely one of the major highlights of the trip.

This jump lead to the organization of one of the rounds of the Base Jumping Extreme World Championship (EWC) and official support by the city
