Historic Wagner Farm
Wagner Farm stands as one of the few remaining farms in north suburban Cook County, Illinois. It sits on 18.6 acres of land, surrounded by suburban homes and major roadways. Though engulfed by a 21st century landscape, the site holds a history of Glenview that not many other museums can attest to. The Wagner family owned and lived on the property until the death of Rose Wagner in 1997.
The site itself is not exclusively tied to any prominent historical figures nor does it have any uniquely aesthetic features. What it does have is representation, a living picture of a time not very long ago, when a family lived a common farm life despite the changing landscape surrounding them. Because of this unique history, Wagner Farm is a site dedicated to providing educational opportunities and historical interpretation of family farming and rural life in the Glenview area during the first part of the 20th century.
In addition to the cows in the pasture, Wagner Farm has chickens, draft horses, and pigs as well as a restored farmhouse and barn and the award-winning Wagner Farm Heritage Center. The Heritage Center contains interactive exhibits where you can learn about farming from the early 20th century through the present, shop through history at our 1930s Grocery Store or purchase a souvenir of your visit from our Museum Store.
If your kids think that milk comes in a carton, corn comes in a can and chicken comes in a cellophane wrapped package, it's time for a visit to Wagner Farm . . .

Ace the Amazing Talking Crocodile
This one year old American Crocodile was rescued from sure death. Found injured and starving on the Rio Grande River in Belize, TIDE Rangers caught the little hurt croc and transported it to Belizes first and currently only Crocodile Sanctuary, ACES / American Crocodile Education Sanctuary in Punta Gorda. Ace was treated for its injuries and force fed till it regained strength and began eating on its own. Every evening Vince & Cherie sit outside with Ace and watch the croc attempt to try to catch shrimp. Completely blind in one eye, Ace is only successful as long as the prey are in a contained area small enough that the croc doesnt have to expend too much energy to finally have a successful catch. Then one evening while sitting outside with Ace, our friend Maya started making hatchling noises. To everyones surprise, Ace began to talk back to her! Their croc talk went on for hours through the evening. Now, every evening while we set outside to watch the sunset over the Rio Grande and Vince & I start talking about our day, Ace joins right in on the conversation.
Truly an amazing little croc Ace is very special and about to make history. Not only does Ace chat with you, but Ace has been chosen to travel to the USA to become and Ambassador of Crocodilian Conservation in Belize. The Wildlife Discovery Center at Elawa Farm in Lake Forest, Illinois, has agreed to welcome Ace to their fabulous educational facility. Currently, CITES permits are in progress for the extraordinary animal to be shipped across country and state boarders.
More information about Ace can be found at this years Reptile Rampage held by WDC at Lake Forest Recreation Center Gym, 400 Hastings Road, Lake Forest, IL 60045, on Sunday, March 14th. You can continue to follow Ace, the baby American Crocodile, on its courageous journey from Belize to the USA through ACES website at americancrocodilesanctuary.org. If you would like to help Ace or other rescued crocodiles, contact Cherie at acesnpo@hughes.net. You can even visit and chat with Ace this coming spring at the Wildlife Discovery Center.

Danada House Wedding | Courtney & Brooks | Wheaton, IL
Where do we even begin with these two?! We literally cannot even believe that Courtney & Brooks’ wedding day has already come and gone… it feels like we’ve been anticipating this day forever, and it’s finally here! Luke and I connected with Courtney & Brooks because Luke and Courtney were in the same nursing school program at Illinois State University a few years ago, and we have absolutely love having them as a couple of ours!! These two feel like dear friends by now, and we could not be more grateful that we got to be their wedding photographers!
Courtney and Brooks were married just a few days ago in Naperville, and their Danada House wedding was one of our very favorite days so far all season long! Courtney did an absolutely phenomenal job planning literally every last detail of their beautiful wedding day, and it was amazing to see it all come together!
We love how much these two value their people- their friends and family truly were a huge focus of their celebration today, and it was immensely evident how loved these guys are by SO many! ❤️ As Courtney’s father said in his toast tonight, their guests traveled over 100,000 miles total from around the globe to celebrate! ???? So incredible!!! We could not have asked for a better day with the new Mr. and Mrs. Wadsworth, and it was our joy to get to be a part of this celebration!
Courtney and Brooks, thank you so much for inviting us into this precious season of your life! We just love you guys and we are SO grateful for Luke’s nursing school years- because they led to days like your wedding day!!! ???? Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being so good to us and such a joy to work with. Wishing you guys a lifetime of the very same joy you experienced all day on Saturday, you two- and enjoy that honeymoon!!! Enjoy some of our (many!!) sneak peeks from your beautiful day… there are a LOT! ????
Xoxo!!
