Journey to Houghton-le-Spring through Houghton Cut
A journey to Houghton-le-Spring starting at Stoneygate on the A690, passing Over the Hill Farm and down through Houghton Cut into Houghton's town centre. We then depart from the back of Houghton Methodist Church, past the Co-Op and loop around Houghtonside Estate back on to the A690 and a journey north with views of the fields next to Over the Hill Farm once again.

Fencehouses to Lumley Castle: Following the Burn
A walk down the Leamside Line from Fencehouses Station to the Lambton Lane culvert of Moors Burn. We then follow the burn through Bournmoor and New Lambton, past the Floater's Mill pub and over the Floater's Mill Bridge into Brecon Hill Woods, joining up with the wild garlic forests of Lumley Dene. The walk ends at Lumley Castle near Chester-le-Street.

Lambton Lane - May 2016
A short walk at Lambton Lane, near Fencehouses and Burnmoor, in May 2016. We get to see the pedestrian and vehicle tunnels under the LNER railway line, the abandoned Bath House (former home to the swimming instructor), plus the remnants of the old swimming baths (now a scrapyard).
