Teardrop Trip to Crawford State Park (Kansas)
We made our fourth trip in the teardrop trailer. We have camped in Arkansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma, so decided to try a trip to Kansas to complete the four corners area. Crawford State Park came highly recommended. Plus it was Bikes, Blues and BBQ weekend in Northwest Arkansas so it got us away from the bike noise for a spell.
We took the canoe and enjoyed Crawford Lake. I fished a few hours in the afternoon with popping bugs and caught some sunfish and bluegill. I had two largemouth bass on temporarily. One of those was decent. There are also some walleye and striper in the lake.
Crawford is a CCC built lake and has some interesting history. Even though it is in Kansas, it is near the edge of the Ozarks. Check it out:
