Ellis Windmill, Lincoln - Shutter operation.
This is a short video I took in Lincoln of Ellis Windmill. You can see the shutters being operated, these allow you to control the speed of the sails by allowing more or less wind through them.
This windmill is free to look around and well worth a visit.
You can see the shutters opening at 0:41
Thanks
Andy

Ellis Mill
Ellis Mill in Lincon, UK. I caught a few seconds of the windmill going around before the wind and rain became a bit much for me and my camera. Ellis Mill is a fully-functioning mill and they make flour there!
Windmills of Lincolnshire: Sibsey Windmill - Trader Mill
This video documents Sibsey Trader Mill at Sibsey in Lincolnshire as it looks today. Me and my sister have had a lifelong interest in tall and interesting buildings such as windmills, and aim to continue to go round many of the windmills in the region and other counties in England.
Sibsey Trader Mill is one of few six-sailed mills in the country and was built in 1877 to replace an earlier post mill. It is 74ft tall and in full working order, with an exquisitely detailed wrought iron balcony. Today the windmill is open to the public all year round on certain days of the week and is a grade I listed building.
Filmed on my Sony Cybershot DSC-H55 digital camera on 2nd July 2015.

Windmills of Lincolnshire: Heckington Windmill
This video documents the windmill at Heckington in Lincolnshire as it looks today. Me and my sister have had a lifelong interest in tall and interesting buildings such as windmills, and aim to continue to go round many of the windmills in the region and other counties in England.
Heckington Mill was built in 1830 and is the ONLY remaining 8-sailed windmill in the UK. It ceased working for 40 years in 1946 but in 1986 was restored to full working order and reopened. Now the distinctive eight-sailed windmill is run by the Heckington Mill Trust and in 2004 the mill underwent a larger restoration. In 2014 all 8 sails were replaced.
Filmed on my Sony Cybershot DSC-H55 digital camera on 2nd July 2015.
Thelnetham Windmill
Wonderful little tower mill set in the heart of the north Suffolk countryside in the village of Thelnetham. Built in 1819, the mill replaced an earlier post mill which had been dismantled and moved to the South Norfolk market town of Diss. By the late 1970s, Thelnetham Mill had become derelict and was bought by a group of mill enthusiasts who, in 1980, began what became a seven year restoration.
This film was taken on Sunday May 11th 1014 when it was open for viewing as part of National Mills Weekend. Please check their website for future open days:

It was built in 1830 to plans by millwright Edward Ingledew , Heckington Windmill is the only eight-sailed tower windmill still standing in the United Kingdom with its sails intact. Heckington is located between Sleaford and Boston in Lincolnshire, England. The mill stands very close to Heckington railway station, hence its name of the Station Mill in the 19th century. Paul 'scruffy' Martin takes a look at The windmill which is designated a Grade I listed building.
