Squatting 23 Hours after Hip Replacement
A new Hip Replacement technique called SuperPATH, has been introduced in Australia by Dr Sol Qurashi
SuperPATHis a revolutionary development in hip replacement surgery that allows us to perform hip replacements in a manner that encourages quicker recovery and precludes hip precautions that are associated with some other hip replacement techniques. This is because of the unparalleled preservation of the hip capsule and minimal muscle sacrifice.
SuperPATH utilises an incision typically about 3 inches long and simply retracts the main muscles out of the way. Both the anterior capsule at the front and posterior capsule at the back of the hip joint, along with the short external rotators are maximally preserved. The hip is replaced without surgically dislocating the joint.
This allows us to “build” the hip replacement ‘in situ’ with minimal disturbance to the soft tissue envelope. It’s like building a ship in a bottle without disrupting the bottle.
The heavy emphasis of this technique’s philosophy on ‘preservation’ in our opinion has two major benefits:
1. Early mobilisation, with patients often walking within a few hours of the surgery and, more importantly,
2. No Hip Precautions.
At the end of the day, no one technique is better than the other.
If you are having a hip replacement, you should have it done by the technique that your surgeon is most comfortable and familiar with because that is the safest option for you. Whilst results can vary from patient to patient and can be influenced by a multitude of factors, a hip replacement done well is likely to have a good result irrespective of technique.
⁴ᴷ⁶⁰ Walking NYC (Narrated) : Flatiron District, Manhattan (November 13, 2019)
Google Maps Route:
CORRECTION
At 13:05 Madison Square Garden hosts the New York Rangers hockey team, not the New York Islanders.
A narrated walk through the neighborhood of Flatiron in Manhattan.
From Wikipedia:
The Flatiron District is a neighborhood in the New York City borough of Manhattan, named after the Flatiron Building at 23rd Street, Broadway and Fifth Avenue.
Generally the Flatiron District is bounded by 14th Street, Union Square and Greenwich Village to the south; the Avenue of the Americas (Sixth Avenue) and Chelsea to the west; 23rd Street and Madison Square (or NoMad) to the north; and Park Avenue South and Gramercy Park to the east.
Broadway cuts through the middle of the district, and Madison Avenue begins at 23rd Street and runs north. At the north (uptown) end of the district is Madison Square Park, which was completely renovated in 2001. The Flatiron District encompasses within its boundaries the Ladies' Mile Historic District and the birthplace of Theodore Roosevelt, a National Historic Site. The Flatiron District was also the birthplace of Silicon Alley, a metonym for New York's high technology sector, which has since spread beyond the area.

⁴ᴷ⁶⁰ Walking NYC : NoLIta, Manhattan (North of Little Italy) (August 16, 2019)
Google Maps Route:
A walk through most of the neighborhood of NoLIta in Lower Manhattan.
From Wikipedia:
Nolita, sometimes written as NoLIta, and deriving from North of Little Italy is a neighborhood in the borough of Manhattan in New York City. Nolita is situated in Lower Manhattan, bounded on the north by Houston Street, on the east by the Bowery, on the south roughly by Broome Street, and on the west by Lafayette Street. It lies east of SoHo, south of NoHo, west of the Lower East Side, and north of Little Italy and Chinatown.
The neighborhood was long regarded as part of Little Italy, but has lost its recognizable Italian character in recent decades because of rapidly rising rents. The Feast of San Gennaro, dedicated to Saint Januarius (pope of Naples), is held in the neighborhood every year following Labor Day, on Mulberry Street between Houston and Grand Streets. The feast, as recreated on Elizabeth Street between Prince and Houston Streets, was featured in the film The Godfather Part II.
In the second half of the 1990s, the neighborhood saw an influx of yuppies and an explosion of expensive retail boutiques and trendy restaurants and bars. After previous unsuccessful tries to pitch the neighborhood as part of SoHo, real estate promoters and others came up with several different names for consideration of this newly upscale neighborhood. The name that stuck, as documented in an article on May 5, 1996 in the New York Times City Section debating various monikers for the newly trendy area, was Nolita, an abbreviation for North of Little Italy. This name follows the portmanteau pattern started by SoHo (South of Houston Street) and TriBeCa (Triangle Below Canal Street).
The neighborhood includes St. Patrick's Old Cathedral, at the intersection of Mulberry, Mott, and Prince Streets, which opened in 1815 and was rebuilt in 1868 after a fire. The cornerstone was laid on June 8, 1809. This building served as New York City's Roman Catholic cathedral until the new St. Patrick's Cathedral was opened on Fifth Avenue in Midtown in 1879. St. Patrick's Old Cathedral is now a parish church.
Since 2010, a Little Australia has emerged and is growing in Nolita.

I WENT TO THE BEST REVIEWED NAIL SALON IN MY CITY !!! OMG
I recently went to the best-reviewed nail salon in LA and decided to bring you all along. This place that I found on yelp has so many reviews that I just couldn't resist and go check it out myself. It wasn't like a fancy high-end Nail salon as you can see in the video but they had very good customer service and Nail artist or at least my nail technician was very experienced and knew the latest nail trend and designs. I have kept the place anonymous for many reasons but if there are lots of you who want to go there then I might post the name of the salon. Gah, It's so hard to type with my new sets. I probably should have made them a bit shorter. OK I am going to end this now.

In this video, we will take you to on a pizza tour of all five boroughs of NYC! But, we have two stipulations. First, we eat a unique style of pizza at each stop. Second, we take ferries as often as possible between each location. There is so much amazing pizza in New York City and these are just five of many great options here.
1. Louie's Pizzeria and Restaurant
81-34 Baxter Ave
Elmhurst, NY 11373
Quite possibly the best grandma slice in NYC. The grandma is the signature slice at Louie's. They also make excellent dishes here.
2. Louie & Ernie's Pizza
1300 Crosby Ave
Bronx, NY 10461
Is Louie & Ernie's the best pizza in The Bronx? Louie and Ernie's has been rated highly in national and local lists for many years and for good reason. Their sausage pizza is their signature, but the regular slice is also excellent. We ordered a slice of each at this Bronx institution.
3. PQR (Pizza Quadrata Romana)
1631 2nd Ave
New York, NY 10028
Roman style pizza in NYC. Keeping with the unique styles of pizza, we came to PQR for Manhattan's spot. Roman style pizza is very light and uniquely prepared. Here we ordered the bufala, topped with buffalo milk mozzarella and basil.
4. Lee's Tavern
60 Hancock St
Staten Island, NY 10305
For Staten Island, we went to one of the most highly-rated spots, Lee's Tavern in Dongan Hills. They serve bar pizza with thin crust. The spot itself is actually a bar.
Here we ordered the red clam pie, a half sausage and pepperoni pie and half regular and a special side dish that you'll have to watch to find out!
5. L'industrie Pizzeria
254 S 2 St
Brooklyn, NY 11211
Our final stop was in Brooklyn, a borough with a rich pizza history. Here, we decided on L'industrie, one of the best newer pizzerias in NYC. A great mix of NYC and Italy with high quality ingredients. We got a burrata slice and a L'industrie slice, topped with burrata and prosciutto.
Which pizza would YOU most like to try? Let us know in the comments below!

ABOUT FOOD AND FOOTPRINTS:
We are Greg and Jumi, hailing from opposite ends of the globe. Greg is a native New Yorker who was born and raised in Queens NYC and Jumi grew up in the beautiful islands of the Visayas region of the Philippines.
How did we meet? One of us messaged the other on Instagram (before sliding in DM's was even possible through the app!) and we met just after Hurricane Sandy hit NYC in October 2012. Although we grew up in two very different worlds, we bonded over a love of experiences over material things, delicious food and exploration.
We have visited 15+ countries together since December 2014 exploring beaches, ancient temples, bustling streets and ruins. Along the way, we get adrenaline flowing whether paragliding, ziplining, or jetskiing.
To fuel up for our adventures (and everyday life), we eat lots of local food wherever we are. Street food, carts, trucks, hidden gems and family-run sit-downs are our mainstays. We don't cook, but prefer to spend our money on experiences and we treat food as one. Hey, we gotta eat regardless, right? May as well enjoy it and support good businesses while we're at it!
All of this is done while we work full-time at our day jobs. How do we do it? Follow along our journeys and you will learn more. Welcome to our lifestyle!
