Elora Quarry Conservation Area, a 0.8 hectare (two acre) former limestone quarry is encircled by sheer cliffs up to 12 metres (39 ft) high. Elora Quarry did not become a conservation area until 1976, but it was a popular swimming area long before that.
The Quarry served as a film location in the 2017 adaptation of Stephen King’s novel It.

Hey y'all, Travel Mammal coming back at you. Now this time around we're talking about one of the coolest places to go swimming anywhere near Toronto. The Ol' Swimming Hole, the Elora Quarry. It's located about 1 1/2 hours northwest of Toronto. We're talking about 40 foot sheer cliffs of limestone and two acres of madness. Check it!
For locals in and Elora Ontario, it’s always been a summer go-to.
For visitors to the area, it’s the newest go-to.
Located near the infamous and stunning Elora Gorge, the Elora Quarry is a perfect place to spend a day on the water. the old swimming hole is surrounded by trails and dense forest making it perfect for hiking, picnicking, barbecuing and of course, swimming.
It’s open until Labor Day so get in the car, suit up and take advantage of this beauty in Toronto’s backyard.

Elora, ON: The Most Beautiful Village In Canada?
Some call Elora, Ontario The Most Beautiful Village In Canada...they could be lying but it's definitely really nice. I went on a quick trip with Fel and Wes from Feather and the Wind to check out the Elora Gorge and the surrounding area. I also decided to try a different method of documenting my trip...a more pretentious one ;)
