QUIT
QUIT is a story about Danny, the sign holder for Back to the Past Comics and Collectibles.
I've finished film school at Motion Picture Institute in Troy, MI! This is my thesis film which was screened at the Novi Emagine Theater during my graduation. I hope to clean it up and tighten the film a bit more, then I plan on submitting this into film festivals around the USA. This past year has been one of the best years of my life, with going to film school and of course, working on feature films!
Thank you to all of the contributors who helped make QUIT come to life. We had a goal of $700, but we passed that goal and raised $1000! Definitely couldn't have done it without my amazing cast, talented crew and the support of my friends and family. I'm forever grateful and I love you all.

Faces of a Pocket Watch (Summer Film Camp 2013)
A mystical pocket watches reveals the life of the last person who possessed it to the one who finds it. We follow the watch as it gets passed along a trail of high school students and what they learn about each other and compassion.
This film was produced at the Motion Picture Institute Film Camp in July 2013. The film was written, directed, shot, edited in five days during the camp. A group of twenty students worked alongside industry professionals who trained and supervised the students as they then took the reigns to make this film. The film premiered at the Emagine Theater in Novi, Michigan in October 2013.

Exclusive Interview w/ The Citizen's star Khaled Nabawy & director Sam Kadi
Detroit, Michigan, September 22, 2013 --Good Morning Michigan show on US Arab Radio on WNZK 690 from 8-9 a.m. EST hosted an exclusive interview with The Citizen's leading star, Khaled Nabawy and director Sam Kadi hosted by Laila Alhusini and Sameh Elhady on Monday, Sept. 23.
3K Pictures, in association with Monterey Media, is pleased to announce the theatrical release of the Michigan-made feature film, THE CITIZEN, on Friday, September 27 in Detroit and other selected cities. Directed and co-written by Detroit area resident Sam Kadi, the film was produced, financed, and shot predominantly in Detroit and outlying areas.
Featuring an international cast, the film stars Khaled Nabawy (Fair Game), the biggest film star in Egypt, as a Lebanese man who, anxious to live in America, wins the American green card lottery and arrives in New York City on September 10, 2001. He soon encounters first hand adversities that challenge his ideals and pursuit of the American Dream during the nation's most challenging time in recent history. For a trailer, please click here.
The Citizen also stars Cary Elwes (The Princess Bride), Agnes Bruckner (The Anna Nicole Smith Story), William Atherton (Die Hard) and Rizwan Manji (NBC's Outsourced). The film will be open in Detroit at the Emagine Theatres in Novi and Canton, and at the Birmingham 8 Theatre.
Egyptian star Khaled Nabawy managed to quickly grab audiences attention and film critics respect through his choice of material, following his discovery by famous director, Youssef Chahine. Khaled has already played comedian, dramatic and villain roles. He is a cinema lover, working about 12 hours daily to reach the role's depth. El Nabawy attended the Institute of Performing Arts. He lives in Cairo, Egypt. His roles in Hollywood include Mullah, the first advisor to Saladin, portrayed by Ghassan Massoud in the blockbuster film Kingdom of Heaven. He also played the role of Hamed, an Iraqi scientist in the film Fair Game.
Sam Kadi is a Syrian American movie director living in Michigan who attended Motion Picture Institute of Michigan in Troy. He has made many successful short films including Raised Alone which won eight awards and six other nominations.
