Okinawa Reef Walk - ANA Intercontinental Manza Beach
This past trip to Okinawa was one of my favorite trips. We touched down in Naha which for some reason I assumed was a small city. After being in Tokyo last night, every city would be a small city in comparison, but Naha’s size surprised me. Coming from the midwest, this place looks larger than any major city. We didn’t stay too long in Naha however. The bulk of our stay was up north in a town called Onna which much more of a resort area.
Our hotel was the Intercontinental Manza Beach and fell in love with it from the moment I saw it. It is located at the tip of a peninsula and looks out over a gorgeous bay and the ocean. If I ever came back to Okinawa, this place would be high on the list of places to stay. I loved it here.

Things to do in Okinawa Japan : Tataki waterfall
Taa taki falls is located on the north west coast of Okinawa's main island. To access the falls you will need a car and a good set of water shoes.
The hike is 2.4kms long along the Henan river and with no designated paths, you will need to hike through the water and over some small obstacles, although nothing too hard.
Taa taki water fall is a beauty to behold, the falls are pretty much a straight drop into the lagoon below, plenty of room for swimming and playing with the rope swing (although do so at your own risk)
As the popularity of the waterfall is increasing, so is the impact left by humans, so do your best to leave it as beautiful as you found it and take your trash home with you...extra points for people willing to grab trash left by others ;)

How to Enjoy the Churaumi Aqurium for free | Couple Travel Vlog | Okinawa Japan
The Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium is located within the Ocean Expo Park in Okinawa, Japan. The aquarium is a part of the Ocean Expo Park located in Motobu, Okinawa. The aquarium is made up of four floors, with tanks containing deep sea creatures, sharks, coral and tropical fish.
Today we show you how we enjoy the aquarium for free! Without ever entering the actual aquarium area. Most activities around the facilities are free so if you'v already seen it and are just showing your on island guests around the tourist attractions here's a few things to do without having to pay the hefty entrance fee again.

Family friendly Kai Izakaya restaurant in Okinawa
Our hotel in Okinawa recommended this local Izakaya restaurant called Kai (means Sea) in Motobu machi. Highly recommend it if you are in the area and want to try yummy local cuisine in a family-friendly atmosphere. The staff were so lovely and really helpful with our son. We had a lovely time!
