Musandam Day Trip from Dubai, Sharjah or Ajman | Transfers, Snorkelling & Lunch

Musandam is one of the most beautiful peninsulas in the world and definitely a must see for visitors to the UAE who are looking for some interaction with nature.
The area consists of mountainous fjords which fall directly into the waters of the Gulf of Oman, which flow from the Indian Ocean.
The day trip consists of a transfer from Dubai, Sharjah or Ajman - where you would basically get picked up from your hotel/residence and driven to Dibba, Oman.
Once there, you would board a traditional Arabic 'Dhow' that has been refurbished for tourism purposes and sail northwards along the peninsula.
After 45-60 minutes we will arrive at a lagoon where the boat will anchor and guests will be able to visit the beach nearby or go snorkelling.
Lunch will be served onboard.
After approximately 2 hours at the lagoon we will set sail again and do some hand line fishing in the ocean where we are likely to catch some barracudas.
Eventually we will return to the port before sundown and make our way back to the city lights.

Together we soar | UAE National Day Formation Flight | Emirates, Etihad, flydubai & Air Arabia
Watch 4 airlines and 7 aerobatic jets from the UAE soar together for the UAE’s 47th National Day.
Emirates, Etihad Airways, flydubai, Air Arabia and the Al Fursan aerobatic display team took to the skies in unison today to celebrate the UAE’s 47th National Day, as well as to commemorate the legacy and values of HH Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the late founding father of the UAE.
The formation flight is a soaring display of unity as all four carriers showcase the UAE’s aviation success story to the nation and world.
The spectacular flypast involved 11 aircraft: a flydubai Boeing 737 MAX 8 (Zayed 1), an Air Arabia Airbus A320 (Zayed 2), an Etihad Airways Airbus A380 (Zayed 3) and an Emirates Airline Airbus A380 (Zayed 4), as well as seven Al Fursan acrobatic display jets from the UAE Air Force.
All of the commercial aircraft in the formation were emblazoned with ‘Year of Zayed’ decals. This is also the first time this unique combination of aircraft types fly in formation.

Dubai
City in the United Arab Emirates
Dubai is a city and emirate in the United Arab Emirates known for luxury shopping, ultramodern architecture and a lively nightlife scene. Burj Khalifa, an 830m-tall tower, dominates the skyscraper-filled skyline. At its foot lies Dubai Fountain, with jets and lights choreographed to music. On artificial islands just offshore is Atlantis, The Palm, a resort with water and marine-animal parks.
Weather: 43°C, Wind SW at 23 km/h, 26% Humidity
Dubai (/duːˈbaɪ/ doo-BY; Arabic: دبي Dubayy, Gulf pronunciation: [dʊˈbɑj]) is the largest and most populous city in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).[4] It is located on the southeast coast of the ARABIAN GULF is the capital of the Emirate of Dubai, one of the seven emirates that make up the country. Abu Dhabi and Dubai are the only two emirates to have veto power over critical matters of national importance in the country's legislature.[5] The city of Dubai is located on the emirate's northern coastline and heads the Dubai-Sharjah-Ajman metropolitan area. Dubai will host World Expo 2020.[6]
Dubai emerged as a global city and business hub of the Middle East.[7] It is also a major transport hub for passengers and cargo. By the 1960s, Dubai's economy was based on revenues from trade and, to a smaller extent, oil exploration concessions, but oil was not discovered until 1966. Oil revenue first started to flow in 1969.[8] Dubai's oil revenue helped accelerate the early development of the city, but its reserves are limited and production levels are low: today, less than 5% of the emirate's revenue comes from oil.[9]
The emirate's Western-style model of business drives its economy with the main revenues now coming from tourism, aviation, real estate, and financial services.[10][11][12] Dubai was recently named the best destination for Muslim travellers by Salam Standard.[13] Dubai has recently attracted world attention through many innovative large construction projects and sports events. The city has become iconic for its skyscrapers and high-rise buildings, in particular the world's tallest building, the Burj Khalifa. Dubai has been criticised for human rights violations concerning following the financial crisis of 2007–08,[15] but the emirate's economy has made a return to growth, with a projected 2015 budget surplus.[16]
As of 2012, Dubai was the 22nd most expensive city in the world and the most expensive city in the Middle East.[17][18] In 2014, Dubai's hotel rooms were rated as the second most expensive in the world, after Geneva.[19] Dubai was rated as one of the best places to live in the Middle East by U.S. global consulting firm Mercer
Many theories have been proposed as to the origin of the word Dubai. One theory suggests the word was used to describe the souq, which was similar to the souq in Ba.[21] Another theory states that the name came from a word meaning money, as people from Dubai were commonly believed to be rich due to the thriving trading centre of the location. An Arabic proverb says Daba Dubai (Arabic: دبا دبي), meaning They came with a lot of money.[22] According to Fedel Handhal, a scholar on the UAE's history and culture, the word Dubai may have come from the word daba (Arabic: دبا) (a past tense derivative of yadub (Arabic: يدب), which means to creep), referring to the slow flow of Dubai Creek inland. The poet and scholar Ahmad Mohammad Obaid traces it to the same word, but to its alternative meaning of baby locust (Arabic: جراد) due to the abundant nature of locusts in the area before settlement.[23] An inhabitant or native of the city is a Dubaian
Although stone tools have been found at many archaeological sites, little is known about the UAE's early inhabitants as only a few settlements have been found.[25] Many ancient towns in the area were trading centres between the Eastern and Western worlds. The remnants of an ancient mangrove swamp, dated at 7000 BC, were discovered during the construction of sewer lines near Dubai Internet City. The area was covered with sand about 5,000 years ago as the coast retreated inland, becoming part of the city's present coastline.[25][26] Pre-Islamic ceramics have been found Islam to the area, the people in this region worshiped Bajir (or Bajar).[27] After the spread of Islam in the region, the Umayyad Caliph of the eastern Islamic world invaded south-east Arabia and drove out the Sassanians.
